What’s it like to grow up online and have every tantrum, every spot – even your first period – broadcast to hundreds of thousands of followers? A funny and heartfelt novel for fans of Geek Girl, from the award-winning Tamsin Winter: ""Fast becoming a favourite for younger teenagers."" The Observer
Most parents try to limit their kids’ online exposure. But not Eva’s. Her parents run a hugely successful YouTube channel, and Eva is the star of the show. But Eva is getting sick of being made to pose in stupid mum-and-daughter matching outfits for sponsored posts. The freebies aren’t worth the teasing at school. And when an intensely humiliating ""period party"" post goes viral, Eva is outraged. She’s going to find a way to stop the channel, even if she has to sabotage it herself.

I really related to Eva in this story. It was very funny following Carys and Eva on their journey and there were a few twists. Like if you are a little turnip too 🇩🇰
This book, showqing how life in the modern day seems to almost revolve around social media and devices, and how one girl's life is just vlogging, new vlog, new story. Ans she is tired of it. This story tells her diabolical scheme to get out of this and brink her parents blog down with her , with the help of her hacker friend. This book is about personal and outer development in the teenage years.
I Loved this book! It showed how important it was to stay safe on the internet . My favorite character was Carys, she was very brave to owning up to the police and she was a great friend to Eva.
I think this is an amazing book. It does not just tell the story; the author writes ir in a way that makes you feel the story makes it seem real. It is wrote about something that could actually be true and it makes you stop and think. This book is brilliant and I recommend it for teenagers especially girla between the age of 10 and 14.
I think it showed a very realistic insight into the lifes of influencers and showed the hidden truths behind many of these "perfect " families that so many of us find ourselves comparing againest these days.
highly recommended
i thought this book really showed what some kids feel like when their parents show them off on the internet for views, fame and money. It shows the reality that the parents should wait till the child wants to be on their channel or account.
I like when Eva and Carys do some hacking to stop the channel reaching half a million subscribers.
A great book to read! I really recommend this book. It is really exciting and I learnt that not all people have their own privacy and dont feel free because everything about their whole life is online!
I loved this book
5/5
good not the best about a family who film to much and what eva has to overcome to show she is more than just a youtube superstar.
this is fiction and my fav character is Carys and tots recommend!!!
I honestly really enjoyed reading this book. My favourite character was Eva and her revolting. I would suggest this book for teens or people exploring / learning about Denmark.
I really liked how it works out in the end and there is a twist with Carys and the hacking.
I picked up in this book that the story kind of keeps on repeating itself.
Beside that I rate it four stars.
It was okay at the start but it started to get a bit boring for me to read and I thought that the plot of the book kept changing too frequently so it made me loose interest in the book overall an okay book.
Good book, really good
I thought that this was a great book however not for younger readers. I would put age 13+.
I loved this book! I liked how the whole story was based around a girl who just wanted a normal life where everything about herself wasn't online. I loved Eva- she was so relatable!
I thought it was really good because she stood up to her parents and told them what she though.
I really like this book because it shows that screen time isn’t your whole life and that it can damage family’s so we have to be careful. If I had to choose a favourite character it would either be Farmor or Eva because Farmor is really nice, kind and cares about others but I equally like Eva because although at the start she isn’t able to get her parents to stop doing the channel she keeps on trying and doesn’t give up!!
This is such a good book!!!
Really recommend!!!
Eva’s whole life has been documented on her parents’ blogging site. When her mum posts a blog about her starting her period- Eva knows that she has to do something drastic to make them stop.
This book is so needed in a world where parents now post every aspect of their Children’s lives on social media. It’s a reminder about the importance of living your real life- not one on screen.
I particularly liked the character of Hallie- Eva’s best friend- and her Guyanese recipes.
I enjoyed this well. It explained to me well how life isn't just about the internet. The book was fiction my favorite character was Eva the main character. I would recommend this to older girl s 9 - 15. It's not really appropriate for boys or anyone younger than 9 (depending on the person). For those over 15 I don't think they will be interested but it doesn't mean they can't read it.
It was very good, interesting and I didn’t want to put it down! My fave character was probably Carys or of course Eva . It spread a message to the world and was brilliant start to finish
Ava was really brave standing up to her parents when they didnt understand why she didnt want the channel any more.
Carris was my favourite person.
yes
This book follow the unique life of Eva who went viral before she was born. Her parents have been vlogging her life non stop and she has finally had enough. With the help of her new friend Carys and spurred on by the more and more intrusive things her parents are vlogging about, she sets out on a journey to reclaim her life.
I highly recommend this to teenagers wanting a great book to read!
