Witches really are a detestable breed. They disguise themselves as lovely ladies, when secretly they want to squish and squelch all the wretched children they despise. Luckily one boy and his grandmother know how to recognize these vile creatures – but can they get rid of them for good?

Brilliant!
I didn’t have a favourite character. I liked the story but bits of it were gross
I would recommend this book to people who like Suspense and mischief . The thing I liked about this book was that even though the boy turned into a mouse he did not hesitate to get the witches back!
Scary but great I love the writing
The grand witch was creepy
I liked it because it was a very good ending and it was really good to read.
I really liked this book as it gave more information and twists compared to the movie. My favourite character was Luke because he was a brave boy. He was brave enough to go into the witches lair, and worked with his grandma to defeat them.
I love this! It’s so creepy and funny. It also has very exciting vocabulary! I loved it so much I could read it 100 more times!!! My parents have told me there is a film so I look forward to watching that with them, if I dare!
I liked that there were different characters in the book. The boy was my favourite. I also liked the Grandmamma and how clever she was.
I also liked the 6 different ways of how to spot a witch:
Blue spit
Big Nostril
Wear gloves
Bald and wear a wig
No toes
Fire and ice dancing in their eyes.
I liked that the Grand high witch was turned into a mouse and the plan the grandmama and the boy made to get rid off the new GHW and all the other witches.
It was a bit scary but I'm didn't get too scared.
But scary
It was amazing even more amazing than the twits. My favourite character is Mr Jenkins. I would recommend it to other girls and boys to read.
What I liked about this book was that the Grand High Witch got destroyed by a chef and the children were cheering and thought it was really funny.
I liked it however I thought the ending was rather dull, and that it was quite a simple plot for such a big book. I don't think I'd recommend it to a lot of people.
So scary but love Roald Dahl and the characters.
It was all about when there was a boy named Luke and his grandma. One day the Luke noticed that there was only 4 finger instead of five and he heard a real story from his grandma that there was a boy and stranger which was witch. The witch gave him a poisonous chocolate that turns him into a mouse.
I enjoyed reading this book. I would recommend this to my friends
Good. I’d recommend it to anyone who likes Roald Dahl and my favourite character was the boy when he was a mouse. I actually wish I could be a mouse because then I could do really cool things.
I really enjoyed this book and I wished Roald Dahl had written more chapters.
My favourite part was when the boy thought of the cat idea to get rid of all the witches in the world.
The book was spooky but I was not scared because I knew it was fiction.
I think everyone should read it. I rate it 10 out of 10.
A witty and funny book of Roald Dahl, this book is recommended to all children and any Roald Dahl supporter. I liked the grandmother and her grandson the best, and the witches the worst, particularly the Grand High Witch.
A little boy lived in a little house in Europe he had only three relatives his father his mother and his grandma they usually visit his dear old grandma and her little cottage in Norway the little boy loved his Grandma and he always rest to stay with her for the rest of his life, well the day came which he had to the day which he had to stay with his grandma for the rest of his lives .There driving to visit grandma when a accident his parents were firmly killed.(So sad)how would you feel like if that happened to you.Anyway a kind family was kind to drop him at Grandma's but not kind enough to look after him, care for him and love him. When the little boy reached Norway he explained what happened.

Not my kind of book
Creepily awesome!
I liked that Bruno turned into a mouse and kept eating loads of things like bananas
I thought the witches book was great because I loved the part where the author chose to make the action mouse potion thing was a brilliant idea. My favourite part of all was when the witches turn into mice.
I liked the witch the best because she is very evil and I like to read evil characters
I really enjoyed The Witches. I liked Roald Dahl's funny words and his description of what witches look like with bald heads and square toes. My favourite part was when the witches turned into mice when they drank the soup. I think all my friends should read it!
