This was a quick read but I loved it. It made me feel sorry for people who get bullied in school.

This is a fantastic book! It tells the story of Matthew who is isolated and bullied at school, while caring for his mum who is suffering from depression. The myth of the minotaur is woven very skilfully into the story. Matthew is resilient and resourceful but there are times when he can no longer cope, and despair and lack of hope are described very vividly.
This short book is ideal for year 7 and 8 reluctant readers, and would make a good read aloud book with a group of students.

Interesting read about a boy who is does not have any friends in school. He feels alone and doesn't fit in. But he is determined to do the right thing when someone whom he cares about in school has something stolen from them.

A story about friendship, being a young carer and looking out for each other.
