I had purposely not watched the film prior to reading this. In summary, former assassin Kimura is on the bullet train looking for the Prince who is a young sadistic psychopath and who is on the train for undisclosed reasons. As the plot develops, it transpires that there are actually five killers on the one specific train. The plot becomes a bit of a farce and for this reason, I didn't enjoy this book as I'd been hoping for more of a thriller style read.
