As usual Pratchett delivers on humour and whimsey and a good old battle between the Witches of Lancre and the Vampires of Uberwald. However anyone who knows Granny Weatherwax would know not to take her on in a challenge...
Hilarity ensues of course. Lots of stuff about stereotypes and how to break out from them and understanding your true self and mind (or minds in the case of Agnes!) I love the Witches books from Pratchett because they are such wonderful characters; Nanny Ogg with her slightly risque jokes and down to earth mother nature, Granny Weatherwax, sharp, clever and always right, Magrat, now a Queen and mother to baby Esme and Agnes who is trying to fit in and also has another witch inhabiting her mind, the slightly naughty Perdita who says all the things Agnes can't.
