This was particularly poignant given the circumstances under which we are living. The exploration of a world in which live events are banned and people fear crowds seems all the more relevant as we struggle to deal with a pandemic. However, the book offers hope: the human spirit remains and the characters look for a better world. The author skilfully paints a picture of a society where people haven't given up. The characters are compelling and the reader is reminded of the importance of real connections in a world where the virtual is taking control. I thoroughly enjoyed the book and would recommend it!
