""Sometimes you are a whisper away from magic without even realizing it.""
Nine is an orphan pickpocket determined to escape her life in the Nest of a Thousand Treasures. When she steals a house-shaped ornament from a mysterious woman’s purse, she knocks on its tiny door and watches it grow into a huge, higgledy-piggeldy house. Inside she finds a host of magical and brilliantly funny characters, including Flabberghast – a young wizard who’s particularly competitive at hopscotch – and a hideous troll housekeeper who’s emotionally attached to his feather duster. They have been placed under an extraordinary spell, which they are desperate for Nine to break – and if she can, maybe they can offer her a new life in return…

""A wonder-filled book that revels in magic and mayhem."" – Abi Elphinstone
""Wildly imaginative and relentlessly entertaining. It is a story like no other and I absolutely adored it!"" – David Walliams

Nice theme
This was a very fun book. The characters had great motivations and the twists were exciting. I'm looking forward to reading the rest of these books.
Is it a fiction book. I enjoyed it
Very enjoyable to read. Filled with magic as much as possible.
I liked this book, it was a bit mysterious. The spoon was the best character.
I really enjoyed this book because it was fiction and it was about a thief called nine who got stuck in a tiny house with a spoon wearing a Scottish skirt and a wizard plus a mythical creature that looks like a bull But Probably isn’t. I also enjoyed this book because it’s really funny when they get stuck in different places And loads of different things happen with the house.
My favourite character was Mr Downes because I love books and he is kind. I would recommend this book to people who like mystery, adventure and friendship.
Nine reminds me of Zhen from Kungfu Panda 4, same humble beginning and upbringing.
I thought it was really funny. My favourite character is the spoon.
It was amazing and there was lots of twists but there was a happy ending. I recommend it t everyone.
very slow and boring and seemed to make no sense
I thought that it was a very magical book and very interesting. I especially looked that there was a talking spoon in it.
wow!
Another great book in the series which I also read in a day. Easy to read and lots of fun!
This is my new favourite book. It is magical and has a mysterious story to it as-well! I like fantasy and magic books and this was one of my favourites. Not only did the characters break a curse, she also got something for herself. She could be free from the horrible life that she had lived until then. I Loved it and I highly recommend this book!
Amazingly magica
It's a really nice book
It's very crazy and strange and odd. There's an odd curse that you transform into a weird creature.
It's very funny.
I would recommend it.
Fantastic
I liked it. All the characters were crazy and ridiculous in a good way for example there is a skeleton living in a closet always asking for a rib brush.
It was a fiction story and my favourite character was nine. I’d recommend it to my friends who like stories about adventures.
I liked the book very much, it has been very different to other books i have read. The house had a curse on it and Nine one of the characters had to try and break it, if not the house would shrink to point it could vanish. Nine is the nineth thiefling in the nest, Nine knocked on the door therefore she was chosen to break the curse.
I liked the way this story was set up - I loved that you could see what was going to happen but at the same time there were still surprises to keep you interested. A great read!
I liked the house at the edge of time but i think it might of been written for a younger age group like eight to nine year olds. I still really enjoyed it but i found i got bored of the story quite early on.
A lovely nonsense-filled book. Perfect for LKS2.
Very fun magical book with lots of adventures.
My favourite people were Nine & Flabbergast.
Got a bit scary at times but doesn't ruin the fun.
Recommended to all people that love adventures.
It had very good writing, I would recommend it
This is great!
really exciting book to read but is too easy for my type of books
I thought it was good. I loved the girl and the residents of the house. I would recommend it to people who like silliness.
