The star of Julian Is a Mermaid makes a joyful return – and finds a new friend – at a wedding to be remembered.
Julian and his nana are attending a wedding. Better yet, Julian is in the wedding along with his cousin Marisol. When wedding duties are fulfilled and with a new dog friend in tow, the pair takes off to roam the venue, exploring everywhere from underneath tables to enchanting willow trees to … muddy puddles? After all, it wouldn’t be a wedding without fun, laughter and a little magical mischief. With ingenuity and heart, author-illustrator Jessica Love tells a charming story of friendship, acceptance and celebration.

There is a fairy house in the book and Marisol's dress gets muddy.
This is such a beautiful book. The illustrations are stunning. The two characters Julian and Marisol have their own wonderful time as they follow their imaginations at the wedding, " a party for love."
Very special story
The worst book.
I really like the illustrations of the Julian books they’re like water colours. They make me very happy.
I liked everything about this story
We like the picture with the confetti.
Sequel to Julian is a mermaid. Again, not a lot of text but again, beautiful pictures and message.
Loved how the kids helped each other.
Pretty
" I liked it. They played in the tree. The aunties came to tell them off, but they weren't in trouble.

A really nice book
Beautiful pictures on every page
Fiction with lovely story
Okay
Lovely and fun story about celebration, love and acceptance. The book tells the story about friendship of Julian a boy and his cousin. The children play games by looking under the tables and hiding in a willow tree, in their eyes magical tree.
It is a great way of showing the children the power of love, all kinds of relationships and being accepted for being who you are.
It was good pictures but not enough words
Beautifully illustrated picture book, in which Julian goes to a same sex wedding. The words are few, as the real meaning of the story is told through the images. An essential book in any child’s collection to promote an understanding and appreciation of the world and people around them.
I like Julian because he likes to dress in different clothes and he is very creative
