Princess Florizella may live in a classic fairy-tale world, but she’s no ordinary princess…
These three stories were originally published under the titles Princess Florizella, Princess Florizella and the Wolves and Princess Florizella and the Giant. They were originally dedicated to her daughter but have been reimagined in this edition which she has dedicated to her grandchildren. “Princess Florizella was friends with some of the princesses who had studied the Princess Rules, and behaved just as the Rules said they should. Florizella thought their hair was lovely: so golden and so very long. And their clothes were nice: so richly embroidered. And their shoes were delightful: so tiny and handmade in silk. But their days bored her to death…” Instead, Princess Florizella rides her horse, Jellybean, all over the kingdom, having adventures of her own… “…perfect for newish readers who are gaining confidence and ready for a challenge” The Times Review “These are enchanting, simply written stories that have lost none of their pertinence – and this timely new edition deserves to win Florizella another generation of admirers.” 5 star review in the Saturday Telegraph TweetReviews
I love the book and especially the part where florizella and Bennett make samson so cute
It doesn't matter how a princess behaves it only matters if there helpfull my favorite characters was the Prince and Princess
It is a fiction book. My favourite character is Princess Florizella. I would recommend this to anyone.
I really liked this because I like princesses
Love the 3 in one story books
Drama,hiding animals,fun,magic,giants,kids-5 stars
I liked this book because it’s about making your own decisions and not following the crowd.I would recommend this book to someone that has trouble making decisions.
I didnt really like all the stories in this book and wouldn’t read it again.
So so so good everyone in the world needs to read it
It was a good book because I thought it had lots of adventures in! In the book Princess Florizella goes on 3 adventures and in one of them finds wolf cubs and one of them is called Samson!
I would recommend this book to someone else if they like adventures!
Utterly charming. The perfect fairy tale for modern times. I absolutely adore Cecilia.
My favourite person was Princess Froizella because she loved to go on dangerous adventures and be different.
i liked it because Florizella broke the rules and did things her own way. the only part i did not like is that the cover did not have anything to do with ANY of the 3 stories. my fave charectar was samson the wolf cub.
It was good, I really liked it
A light, amusing story presenting characters in stark contrast to those you usually expect to find in a fairy tale; in particular, the independent young girl who certainly does not conform to the image of a stereotypical princess. 'A princess is just a prince with more s's'! 'Florizella was never just an ordinary princess.' The illustrations by Chris Chatterton are wonderful.
This is the seventh book I have read in my project to read books by authors who write for children and for adults. The adult book I have read by PG is 'The Little House' which is described as a psychological thriller and I was certainly gripped. PG is perhaps better known as a prolific writer of romantic, historical novels set in the royal households of the 16th, 17th and 18th centuries. All of her books are written with women as the protagonists, showing an insight into what women want, and often what they fear.
I wonder if PG has written 'The Princess Rules' as light relief in amusing and frivolous contrast to her carefully researched and historically accurate novels about real princesses, kings and queens.
It's a book that represents that girls don't always need to be rescued and also that your imagination is your adventure.
A great pastime; the writer must have a wild imagination. i also like the main character Florizella: she's like me but in a fairytale. Good book for young readers and a good fantasy retreat
I did not like this book as much as the first one I read. It was three stories in one. My favorite story was the first one called 'Princess Floriezella'.
This was a pretty easy book for me but it does not mean it was bad. In fact, it is very good.
In the book, there are three different stories about princess Florrizella who wants to be like a prince. As soon as you start reading, you have to find out what comes next!
The first book out of two in the series, this is a book for everyone.
Florizella is a very adventurous girl.
Very funny and a great read for any girls who feel like men are control freaks. It shows that girls can do anything boys can.
I thought 5nat this boo, was powerful because it told me that you can to lots more then you know.
My favorite character was florizella because she is a very determined girl who gets what she wants and doesn't let anything stop her doing it.
I would certainly recommend this book 5o some one else
Yes
It was ok
All I can say is AMAZING
Princess Florizella likes to break all the rules of being a princess. It is really funny.
This was fiction.
It was exciting and adventurous!
This book is about a princess who broke all the rules and dares to be different . My favourite character is Florizella because she does not care about what other people say,but dares to be different. I would recommend this book to girls and boys ages 8-10 especially if they like to read about fairy tale princess life
Awesome book, it was so good and it inspired me to follow my dreams. It was funny and inspiring. It is three books in one and my favourite character was Princess Florizella because she was daring and pretty. I would recommend it to any young or old girl in the world.
