Jack and Bear are the best of friends. Jack loves Bear because he makes him feel brave. But one day Bear disappears and Jack suddenly feels all alone with a big Bear-shaped hole in his heart. Word soon gets around that Bear is missing and Jack starts to receive kind messages from strangers all over the world. Then the toy bears start to arrive. Though the bears start to heal Jack’s sadness, none of them are Jack’s bear. Perhaps there is something Jack can do with them to help the other people with bear-shaped holes. . .
A beautiful story of love, loss, and moving forward, inspired by the true story of Jack and his beloved Bear.

Beautiful and a fantastic read-aloud, read this to a group of Reception to Year 2 and they were entranced and it opened up a lovely discussion about lost toys and whether this was a sad or happy ending
Amazing book, such a lovely story, one of our new favs
It is a good book to read. I can give it 100 thousand likes.
A true story of a brave boy who lost his best friend- his teddy.
Made me think how much I'd miss my favourite
This was a really sad story, made me think how sad I would be if I lost my favourite things.
A beautifully illustrated and worded true story that so many will relate to. I would definitely recommend this. To lose someone special leaves a great hole in your life but this book helps to remind the readers and listeners that you cannot not lose the love that is felt and shared.
