I like this book because it teaches people how to say "even though I'm any colour I'm beautiful on the inside". I would recommend it to my friends who have brown skin like me.

I really enjoyed the book. It is a fictional story about a girl called ‘Sulwe’ , my favourite character, who doesn’t feel comfortable in her dark skin but then realises the beauty of it. It teaches your to love yourself because you are special.

About a black girl Who thought she wasn’t beautiful. But he realised he just had to look it from the inside.

I thought it was brilliant because it shows how black people should be treated fairly and they are beauiful no matter what.

I loved the story of how the main character sulwe feels left out because she thinks her skin is dark and think this is why she can’t make friends but her sister can because she is lighter. Sulwe is then visited by a star and things change.

Absolutely stunningly illustrated picture book about a little girl who struggles to see beauty in her own dark skin. Such an important story for children of all races and backgrounds.

I think this book is very nice. The pictures are fabulous. Sulwe wanted to see the world but nobody wanted to play with her because she was dark but her sister was bright as the sun so everybody wanted to play with her. Sulwe wished she was as bright as the sun as well. This book is non-fiction and is an intersting read because once she stood up she had lots of friends. You should read it because it is very inspiring.

It is good. People gave her bad names and people gave her sister a bit better name. When she got home she was sad. And she went in her room and she cried. There was a shooting star that told her a story about two girls. She was happy after the story.

This is about a little girl who has very dark skin, but wants to have light skin like her sister and mum. One night, a shooting star takes her on an adventure and she learns about the sisters called NIght and Day. Everybody liked day more and said Night was scary, but after a while the people didn't want so much day and they wanted the Night back.
Sulwe realised that it doesn't matter what colour skin you have, you are still important and beautiful.
