Bobbie is thrilled that a golden eagle has settled in the forest near her family’s farm. She loves to walk the hills with her granny and watch the bird soar through the sky. But not everyone shares Bobbie’s awe for the spectacular bird. When her granny’s beloved dog is killed by poisoned bait, it soon becomes clear that someone is out to get the eagle – and they’re ready to take down anything, and anyone, that gets in their way. Bobbie is determined to save the eagle, but is it worth the risk? Particularly suitable for readers aged 9+ with a reading age of 8. TweetReviews
I chose this as my school books I am enjoying it
One of my favourite books. We’ll written and very interesting subject to me
It was about a girl living on a farm who likes watching eagles, but she is being sent away to a boarding school, and also someone is trying to shoot an eagle she watches. At the end they decide that she can go to school near the farm, and other eagle watchers save the eagle from being shot.
I liked that Bobbie worked hard to protect the Eagle. He showed he was brave and kind.
I really like Gill Lewis story books.
I liked grandma best. this was a sad story. Yes I would recommend this to someone else
I am a birder and I adore the spirit in it about fighting for a precious species of bird
My favourite character was Bobby because she was very encouraging about the eagles. I would recommend it to people who like animals.
In this story, a little boy saved an Eagle’s life. It was thrilling to read and someone called Angus tried to kill an eagle
Quite a quick read.highlights the issues with farmers poisoning birds of prey and the damage it causes through the food chain as well as to other animals.
I thought that it was a very good book because it had a lot of detail. I thought it could be improved by having an intro. Bobbie because she tries her best to save her eagle. It interested me because Bobbie found a golden eagle and it was hurt and she saved it. Yes because it has a nice back story.
I liked Bobbie best
It had a great storyline and it was really serious.
this book was very short and also very sad. Because firls the dog dies then the girl nearly has to leave for bording school then the eagle gets shot all this happens yet it never tells you what happened to the bad guys in the end. This book wasn't great but I have read worse.
It is the second best book I have ever read. I LIKE BOBBIE the most because she was the savior of the golden eagle in the magnificent story.
Good book easy to read and emotional
