Stunning illustrations by Chris Mould make this one of the most exciting editions of The Iron Man to be published.
The Iron Man came to the top of the cliff.
Where had he come from? Nobody knows.
How was he made? Nobody knows.
Mankind must put a stop to the dreadful destruction by the Iron Man and set a trap for him, but he cannot be kept down. Then, when a terrible monster from outer space threatens to lay waste to the planet, it is the Iron Man who finds a way to save the world.

My favourite caricature is the iron man. It was a joy to read the iron man.
Thrilling story with a big twist
It makes me feel emotional because everybody hated him except from Hogwarts. He was the only person who was kind to him. The iron man also got killed to save planet earth fro the space-bat-angel.
I like this book because it is all about the building and creating and this book is all about building and creating a huge iron man
I like this because it is about building and being a creator and I like to build and create things.
“The Iron Man came to the top of the cliff. How far had he walked? Nobody knows. Where had he come from? Nobody knows. How was he made? Nobody knows. Taller than a house, the iron Man Stood at the top of the cliff, on the very brink, in the darkness.”
When the Iron Man appears destruction follows in his wake and people are soon terrified of the ‘monster’ but a young boy, Hogarth is the only one who can see the potential good.
I grew up reading the original version of this book again and again so when I came across this beautifully illustrated version I had to read it. Re-reading it again as an adult I was not disappointed from the first word on the first page I was hooked. The story appears to me to be timeless and the illustrations work so well with the text giving it more depth and new life.
A classic book in five chapters, with amazing drawings from Chris Mould, The Iron Man is the perfect class read aloud.
This modern classic has been given a new lease of life from the stunning artwork by Chris Mould. The illustrations give Hughes' visionary tale a new depth and added poignancy, which made it a gripping read. Great to read aloud and as a shared read. Powerful stuff.
AMAZING The Iron Man Reuben
the iron man is a jilt person and a lithelyboy that tack cer of him
It was all about a robot
It was fiction and Adventures. The setting was in the countryside(Australia 🇦🇺). I would recommend this book because it says about how did the Iron Man helped the world 🌍. When there was Space-bat-angle dragon 🐉, the iron man had helped the humans.
I loved the ironman he did so well against the monster
Nice book
I would rate the Iorn man 4 stars because the first part was a bit boring but the second part was alot beter and more engsging for the the reader. I would have made the bat space angel dragon pretect the Earth from other space bat angel dragon and meteorites. I would recomend this book to 10 and 9 year olds.
This book was brilliant!
I have read this story before at school but this book caught my attention in the library because it was illustrated by someone different than the school one. I enjoyed reading this again and especially liked the illustrations.
i would greatly recommend
There are 5 chapters and each one is amazing, like 5 separate stories in one book, so one for each night. My mum loved the pictures in this one. I like the part where the Iron Man gets buried in the ground. We bought this book at the Museum, so we'll be able to read it again.
The little boy because he was helping the iron man and was very kind. I have leant about it in school and I gave it a 3/10. I would recommend it to my family and friends.
Really good and interesting. My favourite character was the iron giant. I recommend the book.
Mummy and I have been reading this together and it’s my favourite story. First people are so scared of iron man but he really helps them after by saving the earth from the dragon creature.
This is my favourite book. I love reading about the iron man and how he saves everyone.
I loved reading this book at school and again for the summer reading challenge. Its a good story that makes you want to see what will happen next.
The pictures were beautiful and it was lovely description. Hogarth helped a giant iron man restore peace to the world. My favourite part was when the iron man fought a massive space bat dragon. The competition was to lie on burning heat as many times as you could. The iron man won.
My favourite character was the Iron Man. He was very brave and saved the world.
I think the book was really strange. My favourite character was the Iron Man.
Amazing illustrations and simple story help create a perfect story. Will be using for our first year 4 topic and have planned in some diary entries, instructions and letter writing. A simple fictional story with basic language.
I really liked every part of it.
The Iron Man was my favourite character because he was brave and he stood up to the Space Bat Angel Dragon.
I think everyone should read this book.
This book was absolutely awesome!!
I loved the Iron Man because he saves the World!!
Nobody knew who Iron Man was or where he came from, but they were angry with him because he was eating up their farms. Then a little boy called Hugo had an idea to move Iron Man to a rubbish dump where he could eat all the iron he wanted and wouldn't be destroying the people's farms and land anymore. All was fine until a space bat angel dragon shot out of a star near Australia and grew enormous, threatening to eat all the people in the world. But Iron Man came up with an idea to save the day and had a fiery contest with the huge space bat angel dragon which was rather painful. I thoroughly enjoyed this book as the writing was very descriptive and I just wanted to read on and on. I highly recommend it to everyone!!!
