It was very enjoyable. You can see the different challenges Kitty faced. It was a fiction story inspired by many true facts. I loved Kitty, the main character as you can see her perspective and personality through the book. I would recommend it to people who love reading nonfiction books because it can help change their perspective of fiction books.
I enjoyed this book a lot and I would recommend it to my friends.
I just love it and it’s so much fun to read.My favourite character is kitty because she does really exiting things like sneaking out of her house all the time!
It was good and action packed, the only reason I don't give 5 stars is because it was based on history and had lots of explanations at the bottom of the page and some of these could be very long. I didn't like that.
It was sad, I liked when Kity and her father escaped prison.
It was a good book
Exciting.
I find the front cover funny because it says 'only the FACTS are true'!
It was a very exciting and action-packed story. I really liked the bit when she went to prison!
I loved it esspecailly when the dad and Kitty escaped from prison
It was boring but it was ok
Kitty Cask is a smugglers daughter and in this book is a diary about the events her father and herself get up to over an amount of days. She goes through a lot of secrets, like blowing up a cave at night, going secretly to see her fathers great adventures, and along with dad, goes to prison. She has so many daring adventures because she is a smugglers daughter and a daring ascape from prison makes her and her father even more daring. My favourite character is Kitty because she is so daring and adventurous and secretive and I sometimes share secrets with my friends.
Kitty is the daughter of a smuggler. She is always helping her dad and her brother to protect everyone from the army
I really enjoyed this book. I even enjoyed it more that the other national trust book!! i think it was really good because it was a fictional book but also with non-fiction elements. My favourite character was kitty because she was funny and brave.
I thought the story was really cool because there was lots of dangerous bits. Kitty and her father Jon escaped jail. They blew up the cave too.
I thought that the beginning was a bit boring but when the war started it got interesting.
I think people that like war that are 6,7, or 8.
My favourite character was Kitty because she was adventurous. I would recommend it because it is interesting and quite complicated
This is the second time I have read this book from the library. I like it very much and think that Kitty is very brave.
Kitty is a very funny character and keeps being involved in her dad's smuggling missions when she is meant to be at home in her bed. She has a sister who is called Esme and she has a brother who is called Jago.
Very interesting and funny would say 7-9 yr olds or to teachers for an enjoyable educational class read
My favorite character was kitty as she was a brave independent woman
This book is amazing for people who love excitement, smuggling and danger.
Interesting
Just like the other 'Secret Diary' books, this fictional story has a brilliant plot and likeable characters, whilst at the same time teaching you all about smuggling in Cornwall in the 1800s. I would recommend this book.
