The Wonderful Wizard of Oz

I couldn’t put it down ! This book really was wonderful I really recommend this to anyone who is looking for a book to read ( a good book ) because I bet u will like it. It is a awesome book about mystery ( (because you never know what is coming next) and friendship it is a lovely book to read and I recommend this to an adult or child.

I loved it and drew all the characters

The author is L. Frank Baum and it’s the first book of the Oz collection. I had the Oz collection for Christmas off my Nanna and grandad.

It has 158 pages in it and over 20 chapters.

The main character in this book is Dorothy Gale and she is described as faithful, adventurous and helpful.

She goes on an adventure to the Emerald city to the wizard and asked him for a home. the scarecrow asked for a brain, the tin man asked for a house and the cowardly lion asked for some courage.

I liked when the munchkin said “can she read the sign”, but the sign wasn’t there. I didn’t like when the wicked witch died.

I would mark this book 5 stars I liked it that much.

Dorothy lives with her aunt Em and uncle Henry like the film. Dorothy does the little song “we’re off to see the wizard the wonderful Wizard of Oz” like in the film too.

The person I liked the most was the Wizard of Oz because people thought he was very clever and came here to help people and scare the two bad witches away but actually he was a balloonist and he couldn't come back down to Kansas but then he saw weird people and then he landed over there and then he became king.I recommend this book to people aged 9-13.
