I loved this book.
My favourite part was when Ivan was dressed in giant clothes because he was a giant.
My favourite character was Betsy and Mr tiger.
I would recommend this book to everybody who loves adventures and tigers.
It was a great adventure to read
I thought this book was amazing with great characters for the story. I especially liked the fact that everyone cared for one another. I liked the Gongalongs most because they were great at performing the theatre show and very good at helping Mr. Tiger. I would recommend it for someone else as you really want to find out what is going to happen next. Also it gets you to understand what the characters are feeling very well.
It was brilliant
I didn't really like the Princess Olaf character because she was mean. I liked that in the end they got the gooseberries to make ice cream and make wishes. It made me feel happy. It was a funny book because there were lots of funny characters. I would recommend this book.
A quirky story with fantasy characters on a quest. Fun filled story with mermaids, a tiger, toads and lots of delicious icecream. Loved by my class!
Really a good read
A magical tale of mermaids, giants and ice cream
Good adventure book.
Tigers are one of my favourite animals. I liked it when they turned the moon blue, it was interesting.
It was quite funny.
I thoroughly enjoyed reading this exciting, magical and enchanting fairytale. My favourite character is the purple-haired girl named, Betsy K Glory, who is the daughter of a mermaid and an amazing ice-cream maker, who has lots of adventures such as going to the circus. The sensible Mr Tiger tells her all about the circus and his troupe of acrobats. The giant uses the blue circus tent as a cloak. They have lots of interesting conversations with the Blue Moon. The gutsy Gongalong people live on the island left off the map of the world. Princess Olaf(the frog) was cursed and banished from her home on Gongalong island by her jealous younger sister. The frog ended up at London Zoo and enjoyed excellent room service. Happiness is a red balloon. Round and big enough to lift you off your feet.
I loved when Me Tiger and Betsy saved Princess Albee from her mean sister giant, Princess Olaf. My favourite character was Mr Tiger because he had a special watch that only had pictures on it and not numbers.
Highly recommended beautifully written & illustrated, unusual storyline
I recommend this book to children.
