Someone will take their final bow . . . The seventh thrilling Murder Most Unladylike mystery.

Fresh from their adventure in Hong Kong, Hazel Wong and Daisy Wells are off to the Rue Theatre in London to face an entirely new challenge: acting.

But the Detective Society is never far away from danger, and it’s clear there’s trouble afoot at the Rue.

Jealousy, threats and horrible pranks quickly spiral out of control – and then a body is found.

Now Hazel and Daisy must take centre stage and solve the crime . . . before the murderer strikes again.

The best murder crime I've read yet! Two girls Daisy and Hazel are sent of by Daisy's uncle to a theatre, to stay out of detecting trouble. Only, muder strikes, and famous actress, Rose Tree, is reported dead. The girls follow the trail, only this muder was one of a kind. On the day of the dreaded show, the girls must work quickly, before all the members of the theatre are killed... Can the girls prove that this muder is not what we think, or will the characters Romeo and Julliet really be killed...?

I think I would deffinately recommend this to children over 8 whom are looking for a new book. After this a whole series awaits you, of when it all started in Deepden, school for girls, and a teacher is proclaimed dead...

Death in the Spotlight was amazing to read after all the other books by Robin Stevens. This is one of my favourite books after Death Sets Sail. My favourite character is Hazel because she is just so funny with Daisy, her best friend and fellow member of the Detective Society. I would definitely recommend the whole Murder Most Unladylike series and the Ministry of Unladylike Activity series to someone else (ages 9 and over).

My book was fiction and my favourite character was called Hazel. I liked Hazel because she felt like she didn't fit in because she had a different skin colour. I would recommend this book to my Mum because it is a brain twister and I think she would like it.

I thought that this was a brilliant book! I have already read the first six in the Murder Most Unladylike series and I had challenged myself to finish the series over the summer. It was interesting for it to be set in a theatre and I agree that a theatre is an excellent place to hold a fictional murder case! As always with Robin Stevens, it was gripping until the end and I thoroughly enjoyed going on the case with Daisy and Hazel. As mystery is my favourite genre (particularly murder mysteries) this
was an amazing book for me.
