Anna Fang is a spy. An aviatrix. An escaped slave. But no one knows the whole story of Anna Fang – until now. Ian McQue’s stunning illustrations bring the city-eat-city world of Mortal Engines alive in these three original stories about the brave, bold, rebellious Anna Fang.

This book was a great entry in the Mortal engines series. It fit nicely into the first book.
About a character out of mortal engines. It was quite engaging.
A short, brisk and breezy prequel to the excellent Mortal Engines series, focusing on the backstory of Anna Fang. The three stories included are sharp, action-packed and showcase a wealth of quality writing that revels in creating evocative dystopian landscapes, strong original characters and fast paced plot lines. Totally accessible and a very good introduction to the dystopian genre - immensely enjoyable.
Three fantastic short stories featuring Anna Fang from the 'Mortal Engines' series by Philip Reeve. Each story adds to the background of The Anti Traction League's most famous spy starting with her escape from Arkangel, her first terrifying encounter with a Stalker, and her last adventure before meeting Hester and Tom from 'Mortal Engines'.
Excitement, adventure plus the origins of the 'Jenny Haniver', Anna's airship - what more could you ask for!
I recommend this book as it is exciting and scary and I didn't want to put it down!
