Back in the day, Patricia Wentworth’s Miss Silver series was hugely popular and this is Book 5 of thirty two. Published in 1943 it’s a Classic Crime mystery and the story of Laura Fane, who falls under suspicion when her distant cousin, Tanis Lyle, is killed. Luckily Miss Silver is on hand to hunt for the real killer. I'd never read anything by Patricia Wentworth before this and I have to say that I enjoyed it very much. It was easy to read and restful, and a good whodunnit besides.
