A great read!
Good
Cool
Twists and turns in the plot keep you hooked on the story of a young boy who experiences things that would be tough for any adult. The author is witty and engaging, adopting the tone of the young narrator well, making you feel like you are part of the story. I really liked how the author used London as the setting, allowing me to picture some of the places he referred to (a Londoner myself) bringing the action close to home. At times, the plot pulled on my heartstrings as the things the protagonist goes through are complex and yet his resilience and strength allows him to pull through. A great story about never giving up, the power of friendship and kindness and how important family is.
I would recommend this to readers aged 11+ Due to the complexity of some of the themes.
Amazing!!
I liked how it had a twist at the end because it made you want to keep reading even though the book was finished.
Amazing from the very start i knew that this would becomeone of my favourites and i was right. Its really mysterious and the twist at the end was an enormous shocker. I would recommend this book for people who love a good mystery and twist book.
P.S
YOU HAVE TO READ THIS BOOK!!!
A fantastic read! I loved the way humour blended into more serious subjects: loss and bereavement. Cymbeline is a resilient and funny mani character. A great story for years 5 and 6.
It was a funny and sad and a bit confusing book
A really lovely story which carefully reveals a surprising ending. A really enjoyable read.
It's exciting, I would recommend it.
I liked this book. It was very interesting to see why the boy in this book never went swimming before and how he solved the mystery.

It is an amazing and intriguing book full of adventures.
Lovely gentle story, told with humour and care, dealing with some big issues.
I loved this, my favourite characters were Lance (Bradley) and Cymbeline.
The book was very good, it wasn't the best book because it was less exciting as the story was very slow, but it was definitely good.
I found this book a page turner and very interesting to read. This book also made me laugh out loud. I like how there are unexpected twists and turns. This book was great! I would recommend to anyone who likes to read funny and adventure books!
Cymbeline because he is good at football and is a wonder person.
It interested me because I wanted to know what they were really hiding as the truth.
I would recommend it to someone else.
I thought that it was a very interesting book and the storyline was fascinating.
My favourite character was Veronique because she was really kind.
I would recommend this book.
I thought is was a good story and it was about a boy who hasn't learnt to swim and he is nine years old. He was sad his mother never took him swimming and his best friend Lance was very good at it. The person I liked best was Lance because he is good at swimming and I like swimming too. If it was real it would interest me because it is a very nice story. I would recommend it to my sister and to my friends.
I really enjoyed this book! Perfect for kids into family crises and adventure. Lots of twists, humour and mystery! Couldn’t put it down! I think all the characters plots were great some keeping secrets until the last pages of the book! Recommended for 8-12
It was ok. I recommend this book to people age 10 to 13
I thought this book was kind of sad and it really makes you think about how dangerous
water actually is. It was intriguing and funny. My favourite character was nania because she was so calm. I found it so intriguing that I want to read the next one!
This book was very emotional, and very mysterious. I really enjoyed the way it was written, and the way that it panned out.
This book is about a nine year old boy called Cymbeline Igloo who has never been swimming before. His dad is dead is and whenever he asks his mum why he hasn't been allowed swimming, she spouts tales of chlorine and the dangerous loch ness monster. However, when his mum goes to hospital and he is left alone, Cymbeline is plunged into a world of confusion. I believe that this is a great book for tweens and older children.
