Excellent and fun read.
Because the beast was not very clever and he jumped straight into the pot like a big fool
A clever and funny twist on a 'beat the monster' tale.
It is really crazy
Billy is a smart girl
I like the monster beast in the story.
It had some good creatures in it
I really enjoyed this book. It had links to a few fairy tales - 3 little pigs when the beast fell in the pot and Hansel and Gretal where they tricked the beast into the pot. It also reminded me of the gruffalo tricking the beast about each of the animals. I think it’s a good book for teaching vocabulary and synonyms for the way you can move through the forest. Also a good one for teaching instructions.
I enjoyed this book. It had strong similarities to the gruffalo. The book had rhyming words and was repetitive which promoter engagement. There was a good use of adjectives.
I really liked it . It was by my favourite author. I disliked the illistration . It was fiction because there is no such thing as beasts. I would recomend it to 5 and under kids
Very nice
Scary and funny
It was great.
found the beast very exciting
Very fun read. Some challenging words but good
This book is about a little girl called Billy who goes into the forest with her Fatcat and runs into a terrible beast who wants to put the woodland creatures into a soup. Billy manages to convince the beast not to put the animals in the pot, and even tricks him into jumping in the pot which the bunny rabbits push down a hill.
This book is quite funny in places but it reminded me a lot of The Gruffalo so I didn’t think it was very original.
I loved Barbara Throws a Wobbler and Good Little Wolf more than this tbh, but my 4 year old still asks for it and reads along very happily. She loves Fatcat!
Its is so funny i just want to giggle in my room and Jump Around
I had fun reading this book to my little brother, it was funny how the beast was so silly and jumped into his own soup pot!
My brother read this book with me, we really enjoyed it and spotted the beast between the trees! It was so funny when they fooled the beast into his own soup pot.
I liked it because Billy is showing courage.
I think the beast was scary.
I like Billy the best.
It did interest me because the book made me happy.
I would recommend it to someone else.
I liked the beast
I enjoyed it when it got dark and there was a big thud on the ground. I liked Fat Cat and Billy and the bit when the Beast traps them. I liked it when the Beast went rolling down the hill.
My mummy and I read this book together
I loved this book
Very interesting story. Would like to recommend to other kids.
I liked it when Billy tricked the big ,gigantic beast
I like it because billy is always trying to save his friends
I liked it when Fatcat’s tummy kept rumbling.
