I thought this book was really well worded and thought of, it left lots of room fro imagination and mystery. This book both saddened and confused me.
it was OK: a bit emotional and very rarely exciting and a bit of mystery.
After just finishing Heartless by Marissa Meyer I have to say that the book was one of the most gripping novels that I have come to read over the last few months. Being a lover of the original books 'Alice in Wonderland' and 'Alice through the looking glass' which were both written by another author , I feel as though Meyer did an incredible job of putting herself in the world of wonderland and bringing the back story of the Queen of Hearts to life in a heart throbbing way.Throughout the book you are introduced to many of the old characters that we have come to know so well in the original books learning about how ther relationship to the queen brought about their fates leading up to the story of Alice herself. Heartless has given me a completely altered perspective on the queen of hearts ... causing me to fall more in love with the characters and unusual customs that take place in wonderland. If you are a lover of romance , fantasy and adventure then heartless is a story that will grip your heart ...all I can say is read and enjoy .
This book is amazing and heartbreaking.
a brilliant back story for the cold queen of hearts, how came to have that title, and all the heartache she went through. you find many other familiar characters that bring the classic tale all the closer to your heart, though I found knowing the inevitable fate of the girl and her joker made the story's end slightly predictable. still, I recommend the book for all who love the tale of Alice in wonderland
This book was really gripping and had lots of sudden twists and turns. It is based on Alice and Wonderland and what happened to the Queen of Hearts when she was just a girl. It is aimed at teenagers and includes lots of emotions: anger, sadness, love, happiness etc.
