my favourite person is Fred and Explorer. I would heartly reccomend it.
LOVE IT
I loved this book, my favourite character was Lila because she loved animals like I do and cared about her brother Max incredibly, putting him first. It was a fascinating story so I read it within 3 days because I couldn't take my head out of it. I think it shows that we need to take care of our rainforests and that there is much more to the world than big cities.
I would definitely recommend this book to someone who loves adventure ! it is the best Its like I am right there watching everything happen ! I loved the bit when they saw the monkeys wash there hands in the bees ! I wish I was there !
Recommend this for adventurous kids

Katherine Rundell's ‘The Explorer’ is an exciting adventure book that takes readers into the heart of the Amazon rainforest.
The story begins with a thrilling plane crash, leaving four children—Fred, Con, Lila, and her little brother, Max—stranded in the thick jungle. With no adults to help them, the children must use their intelligence and bravery to survive in this wild and unfamiliar place.
This book’s genre is adventure, as well as some tension in the middle. The book was very large for a children’s book, but it was amazing to read. Additionally, ‘The Explorer’ uses clear and interesting descriptions, which make images in my head.
This book is worth reading as you don’t know what is going to happen, especially in the middle of the book. It is set in a realistic world, but some of the events are driven by large amounts of luck in order to avoid tragedy. The setting is incredibly vivid.
In conclusion, The Explorer is an excellently written, thrilling, and heartfelt novel that connects the spirit of adventure and the wonders of the natural world together. It's a book that will inspire young readers to dream of their own adventures and appreciate the marvels of our planet.

One of my friends read this book with her school and recommended it to me, I saw it in my local library and knew I had to read it. I cannot even know where to start when telling you how good it was.
I loved this book because it was exiting and adventurous. I liked the part when the explorer pointed a knife at the children ,because it is drematic.
I would recommend this book, it was action packed and full of exciting twists.
I liked it because it was full of adventure and twists and turns. My favourite part was when Fred flew the aeroplane.
It's a very good book. It took a while for us to get into it but when we did we loved it.
My favourite character is Con because she's grumpy but adventurous.
I would recommend it to other children aged8 and above.
I really enjoyed this book because I think it was very interesting, if they'll make it out of the crash or not, and adventurous.
It was absolutely amazing!
Great use of imagery with fabulous description. This book was really good at creating a mental image of the amazon rainforest.
A brilliant read with wonderful description.
I also loved the formal tone of the explorer compared to the informal tone of some of the children!
An amazing and fascinating story on survival, adventure and mystery!
The Explorer was an absolute hit with my Year 4 class. Suitable for ages 9 and above, this thrilling adventure swept us away into the heart of the Amazon rainforest. From the very first page, my class were captivated by the suspenseful storyline and vivid descriptions. As the characters navigated through the dangers of the jungle, we found ourselves on the edge of our seats, eagerly anticipating each twist and turn. The Explorer is a must-read for young adventurers craving an exhilarating journey into the unknown.
I liked that the book was all about adventure. It was set in the Amazon rainforest. I liked Baca the sloth because he was a sloth named after the Portugeuse word for pineapple. I would recommend it to people who like rainforest stories and surviving in the wild.

I liked this book. My favourite character was Lila as she always takes care of her brother. It interested me because a explorer is a person who discover things. I would recommend it to someone.
I am lost for words. Incredible , Exceptional, There are so many ways I could describe this book.
When Fred, Lila , Max , and , Con become the survivers of a plane crash in the amazon rainforest they become intwined with a fight for survival - but someone is already there....
honestly so brilliant! I could not put it down! The hardcore version of Journey to the river sea. written very open ended leaves a lot of scope for imagination but it has enough information that leaves the reader satisfied and content yet still hungry for more! I will treasure the journey I took with this book forever more.
Incredible book with amazing characters and fabulous description. I have even read it twice!
