Fast paced book I liked the relationship between Frank and his Dad and message that all you need is love not money also the relationship between Aunt Flip and Judith the Vicar was good to see. I think this book would appeal to younger readers but Dyslexic readers may struggle with the change of fonts and I do think that Walliams relies on Onomatopoeias written in exciting fonts and in different places to fill out his books too much.
This was sad in a way because the mum left the boy and his dad alone and they needed to survive.
But it was also funny.
My favourite part was when the boy spent all of the dad’s money for the church roof and the dad said ‘mate!’ I would recommend the book to people who like to read and like funny and serious stuff.
It wasn’t my type of book but I liked it it was a really good fiction b
Although I enjoyed this David Walliams book, I possibly didnt feel as engaged with it as I have with others. I did enjoy the story though
nice
It was very emotional in some parts, it wasn't the best David Walliams book i have read but i still enjoyed it.
I liked the book because it was really funny and i have read other books in the series.
I loved this book because it was very funny
I read this with my mum and my sisters at bed time and we all found it funny and full of love and surprises
It was a bit scary at some points but it was also very thrilling. I would say the book is for 9- 14.
I love David Walliams books !
I found it very funny, especially his Aunts poetry!
I really liked this book. My favourite part was when they robbed the well for the coins and my favourite character is Frank.
I like this book because it shows supportive teamwork
This book is very long, heartbreaking and lot's of twists and turns. My favourite chapter is mum with a gun. It wasn't the best though. I would prefer if BAD DAD did more bad things by himself. I recommend this book to 7-12 year olds
This book is pretty long, heartbreaking and lot's of twi
it was intresting how Gilbert lived with a wooden leg.
loved this book - really enjoy reading David Walliams books.
Bad dad is on the loose try and catch him bad dad is so bad but I like the story
Emotional in some parts of the story AKA: the farther losing his leg in a car crash, farther and son being so poor that they haven't got a enough money to have all the stuff they need in the house or even make a cup of coffee
i would reccommend this book.
I enjoyed this book, when Frank's dad was in jail Franky found a way to help his father and the police let his father out.
Really enjoyed it would definitely recommend
It’s very nice because it starts as a calm dad who has quite a bit of money but they lose it over time. It’s very dramatic and lots of things happen! The Dad does bad things to help his son, which isn’t right but I still liked it. He does bad things to save his son from the evil people. He needs to try and stay away from the bad people his Dad knows
It is a book where a dad comes in many great shapes
My favourite part was when Mr Big was sent to jail.
I loved it
This was a fraction book and it wasn’t very good because it was mostly related to the toilet and they might be quite funny but it’s not my cup of tea.
oh my god this book is the funniset in the david wallaims collecton i ve read
