Billy’s mum says he must never go out through the garden gate and explore the dark forest beyond. So, one day, that’s exactly what he does! There he meets the Minpins, tiny tree-dwelling people whose children are the size of matchsticks. They live in fear of the terrible, galloping GRUNCHER. Will it gobble Billy too – or can he find a way to defeat the hungry beast?
From Matilda to Charlie and the Chocolate Factory and The BFG, the collaboration between Roald Dahl and Quentin Blake has captured millions of children’s imaginations for nearly forty years. Billy and the Minpins, this new interpretation of Roald Dahl’s very last story (originally published in 1991), is just as magical.

I really enjoyed this book but thought it was a bit short.
Billy wanted to do all of the fun things but his mother never let him do them. Then the devil came who was always beside him and he said, 'why don't you go into the forest, your mum wont notice'.
The minpins are tiny people. My favourite part was when Billy flew away on a swan.
Billy because he is cheeky like me
I liked how the young MiniPins took flying lessons on Robins. I also liked how Billy flew on the swan every night.
I liked the way that the MinPins helped little Billy survive the galloping Gruncher.
Very funny

I love this book because it is full of adventure. My favourite part is when little Billy meets the Minpins because you don't know what could happen and so it is exciting.

It was a good book about always helping people and animals
This book is a little scary, and full of surprises!
Billy's mother told him that you never go into the woods because there was blood-sucking wild beasts. But Billy was curious and this book tells his story.
If you like a scare, then you will love this book.
It was funny
I like the minpins the best
Brilliant book - the story and the illustrations. I love Roald Dahl books
I love Roald Dahls books. They are so funny. I think the illustrations are brilliant too and I live really looking at them
The way Billy meet the min pins and the king of them was amazing. But the monster was not portrayed as expected and was not shown much. The interaction of Billy with his mom was really short and he was not shown interested in outside world. But the addition of birds was amazing and the interaction and logic was marvelous. Definitely worth reading.
It was scary but good. Billy is my favourite character. He is curious, like me. I would recommend to friends, especially those that love Roald Dahl.
Billy is an awesome character who is very adventurous he found minpins in the forest of sin.

This book was funny because the minpins were silly
This was a good book and it had a wonderful ending.
I recommend it read this book because it is awesome and easy to read for beginners but if you aren’t a beginner you can still read it.
Make sure to read the other books Roald Dahl made.
It a good book .
The book is full of magical creatures called the Minpins. Minpins wear suction boots so that they can go up and down the tree trunks.
Wish it was longer!
They had good made up descriptive words that were hard to read. It was really cool.
