Flightless, helpless and often, more than a little silly, chickens are no match for the cunning, merciless foxes stalking their coop. Or are they?
Thanks to a careless farmer and generations of determined foxes, the chickens on Foxearth Farm have evolved into quick-witted, long-legged, high flying fox dodgers. Then, just a week after a vicious fox ambush in the water trough, three sisters are hatched. And Ransome, Sims and Jefferies are no ordinary chicks: they grow up determined to fight back. They are the legendary Fox Busters . . .
From the number one author for animal magic comes this wonderful new edition of a much-loved classic.

Good
i loved the book and how exciting it was!
I liked the ending because nobody was shouting long nose long nose .
There were baby foxes as well.
Loved the girl rule theme and those poor fox’s and Massi Harris the cockerel
Easy to understand, this farmyard laugh is an enjoyable read for 6-11 ages. Full of fun and a Very good book
This story was good but it had really, really long sentences which made it difficult to follow. My favourite bit of the story is when one of the chickens knocks out the cat with her hard boiled egg!
A fun story. Lots of poultry-related puns.
It shouldn't have surprised me that what is essentially a WW2 story makes for a rather bloodthirsty tale, even when transported into an idyllic farm location. The language is a little dense for younger children and there are some scary parts but older kids would still really enjoy this I think.
I really enjoyed the glimpses into chicken culture and language which made it really fun to read but the ending was a little shockingly violent compared to more modern children's books.
Fun and exciting
Fantastic book and I like how there was only one sad part.
The chickens win and beat the foxes.
Chickens and foxes! What next?!
I like all the chickens because they were smart and thet worked together to bust the fox.
The chickens might look silly but they managed to do an egg attack. Exciting.
this is the best book ever!
when I read it made happy
