This book is factual. The pebble in my pocket is an amazing book i have read so far of all the other book i have read in my entire whole life .This book talks of the history of our earth . At the beginning of of the earth witch is about four hundred eighty million years ago there was volcanoes erupting and the lava spreading .The book is so interesting that it links to history witch is a bout time .The book talks about pebbles and more .There are different parts of the book like of the world getting flooded .Giving hippos water to give them a time to live during the past. The book is non fictional that there is a time line at the end of the book. There is a time about forests cites and more .Every time will remind you of the world .The world changes itself during the past until now .It does not change itself during the future. But from the past instead.
Very interesting and very well written.
I think the book was very interesting because i got to learn that rocks travelled around the world and I enjoyed it
I loved it because it was super interesting.
This is a great book which tells us about the history of the Earth and how it has changed over time. I enjoyed the part with the dinosaurs!
Overall it was okay.I'm not really interested in Dinosaurs and the Stone Age.
The pebble in my pocket is non-fiction but is fiction too. It has amazing descriptions, and powerful language so the children at school can discuss expressive language. I have read this book as a follow-on and recap on volcanoes. I love the illustrations, the powerful language and the story of the pebble. It is imaginative and yet full of facts to help teach rocks,
I would definitely recommend this as a read for pleasure, but also many aspects of this book can lead to further fiction/nonfiction writing and poetry.
The Pebble in my Pocket was sort of telling you the story of how a giant rock turned into a miniature pebble.
I definitely enjoyed it. I liked the history and seeing all the things that happened in the past.
It was a great non-fiction book and I definitely recommend it !
My favourite part was the T. rex part
This book would be perfect for Year 3 and the rocks related science curriculum. I was recommended this book at a STEM chat and as a soon to be Open University Geology student and Year 3 ECT I just had to get my hands on this book. It offers a detailed walk through of the Earth’s history with beautiful illustrations but is quite wordy for a picture book so probably best shared as a class. It also includes a lovely geological timeline at the end of the book.
It was alright
I have been reading this story as part of my English work for school.
Its a very interesting book about the history of our earth and what is happening over time.
I thought that this book was nice because It told me a lot of facts about pebbles.
It interested me because it was about dinosaurs and periods.
I would recommend this book to people who like history and dinosaurs.
It was too complicated.
I wouldn't recommend it.
This book is very intresting because it tells you the story of how a pebble came from a rock millions of years ago to how it is today. It is so amazing! I really recommend it
This is a factual book about where pebbles come from. It had lots of little writing and was not funny but it was interesting. I love pebbles.
This was a very interesting and infofmative read
Wow. A great book that explains the history of our earth.
I liked reading about the history of our Earth, and my favourite bit was when humans first started.
