A boy and his dog set sail in search of treasure, braving stormy seas . . . mountains snowy and cold . . . the forest where the monkeys swing . . . the swamp where the bullfrogs sing . . . and other challenging obstacles, before finally reaching the end of their quest.
But wait! Pirate Frank is A GIRL! And she doesn’t want to share. Back home they go, retracing their steps before sailing away to dream of the treasure they’ve lost.

It was really good.
I liked the book because it rhymed.
I really enjoyed reading this to my kids- it had a nice rhythm that kept pace going, though I had to be careful not to get too fast. I good one to read aloud!
Love this book and read it lots of times. I also like listening to the audio book.
My favourite character was the doggy. The biggest surprise was that pirate Frank was a girl!
This book was too babyish for me.
I like the book because at the end you find out what pirate frank looks like. I’m the book they make you think it’s a boy but pirate frank is a girl.
I loved this book because it was very interesting and exciting! My favourite character was the boy because he was adventurous like me. I loved the pictures because they were very colourful. I would recommend this book to someone who likes pirates, adventure stories and poetry.
I liked this book because it is full of adventure. I like how it rhymes and the descriptions of the island. I learnt about mountains, volcanoes and jungles. I liked the monkeys best because at the end of the book they took all the pirates treasure. I think people who like pirates, adventures and poetry would like this book.
It was a bit boring as the words kept repeating.
Pirate Frank was my favourite because he is brave.
I enjoyed following the map and finding a volcano.
Her favourite part of the treasure of pirate Frank was when the boy met pirate Frank a girl.
Would recommend this book.
Hey he got home in time.
I liked this book but i felt it was too long and he was searching for Pirate Frank but he never got his treasure as the treasure belonged to Captain Sally Frank . He had to run away as fast as he could to get back to his ship as Captain Sally Frank was chasing him.
This book was ok
I thought it was funny because when he got to the X marks the spot he said 'pirate frank she's not on the map'!
You had to up the volcano and under the tree and the treasure box said Captain Sally Frank- Hands Off!
