The story starts with a small lie, but nobody is hurt.
It shows us that some lies can be kind and make people happy.
He was a very good trickster

I liked the happy ending when they got married
I really like tortoise and book includes one. I really like the way that the title of the book spells tortoise backwards
I thought the book was really fun to read
I enjoyed this book because it was funny and sweet. Mr Hoppy wanted to help Mrs Silver and her pet tortoise, and I liked how he came up with a clever plan. My favourite part was when Alfie, the tortoise, kept “growing” because it was very silly. .

The increasing and decreasing in size of tortoise was lovely and funny.
I love how mrs sliver never finds out
My favourite character is Mr Hoppy because he is so funny and silly. My favourite part is when Mr Hoppy goes to pet shops and buys lots of tortoises of all different sizes. I dont like the fact that the book is so short I wish it was longer.
I liked how Mrs silver had a tortoise but
Didn’t like them marrying at the end
The book is amazing
That is all I have to say
I like this book because the man bought lots of tortoise so he could trick the lady that Esio Trot was getting bigger and bigger because of the note he had written. I liked that she spoke backwards. It’s was fun figuring out what she was saying because the words were backwards.
