Phizzwhizzing new cover look and branding for the World’s NUMBER ONE Storyteller!
This is the wonderful and warm-hearted Roald Dahl classic, Esio Trot.
Mr Hoppy really loves his neighbour Mrs Silver, and Mrs Silver really loves her tortoise, Alfie. One day Mrs Silver asks Mr Hoppy how to make Alfie grow, and suddenly Mr Hoppy knows the way to win her heart. With the help of a magical spell and some cabbage leaves, can Mr Hoppy be happy at last?
And now you can listen to ESIO TROT ( with THE GIRAFFE AND THE PELLY AND ME) and other Roald Dahl audiobooks read by some very famous voices, including Kate Winslet and Steven Fry – plus there are added squelchy sound effects from Pinewood Studios!
And look out for new Roald Dahl apps in the App store and Google Play- including the disgusting TWIT OR MISS! and HOUSE OF TWITS inspired by the revolting Twits.

My favourite character of the book is Mr Hoppy. It interested me because he loved a woman who had a tortoise. I'd recommend this to someone!
Mr Hoppy loves Mrs Silver but Mrs Silver loves someone else which is a tortoise named Alfie. Everyday November Mrs Silver got Alfie’s house some hay. It was fictional, I love this book.
I didn’t like it because it wasn’t long enough.
It was really funny but I also got annoyed that one of the characters wasn’t understanding something quite simple. That was because a tortoise can’t grow overnight
The story starts with a small lie, but nobody is hurt.
It shows us that some lies can be kind and make people happy.
