I would definitely recommend this to someone because it’s a fun book!

I like this story it was funny

You can never go wrong with Road Dahl and it is a good entry-level read for children who enjoy humour and fantasy. For those who’ve read his later works, you can feel that he is still working out his signature style. It is a nice independent and read aloud text.

The girl who narrates the story. When she gets mad and sees red she can point her finger and magic happens

It was funny that the family turned into ducks, and the ducks turned into humans

It was cool when the people were shooting thr chickens and then the tables turned on them

Some parts are a bit scary but I liked it

I love animals do it made me happy that they learnt not to shout at the birds anymore - I thought them being birds was funny and the ducks with arms and legs

This was my first chapter book that mummy read with me. I liked it when the family turned into ducks

My favourite part was when Mr Gregg and his sons went out to shoot the ducks. There were four ducks left, but they couldn’t shoot them because it was getting dark.

The next morning, Mr Gregg and his family woke up as tiny people with wings, while the four ducks had become as big as humans! The ducks took over their house and Mr Gregg finally understood how it felt to be hunted.

I liked this book and I would recommend it to other children because it was funny and magical.

Because of the hunting

This book was kinda funny, sweet and also sad, cause like, who would want to kill a bunch of innocent ducks and birds for fun?

I have really enjoyed this book as of three reasons, its one of my favourite aurthors i like to read, it is a great book and it has really funny parts in them. What i loved about this book was when the family had to live a bird life and they had to forage for food and build a nest whilst the birds enjoy a human life cooking and playing. What i have found most funniest was when "girl" (who has the magic finger) transfroms her teacher into a human cat and she had whisters and ears and a tail. The next part which i found funny was when before the Greggs became birds Mr Gregg and his two boys would go out hunting and then the birds would grab guns and start shooting the family obviously no one got hurt as this is a childrens book. What happpened in this book was there was a girl who lived next door to her neighbours the Greggs and they went out hunting animals and the girl every time she would get really angry for them hurting wildlife and the part i found funny is when she dicovered her powers and accidentaly cursed the Greggs into being ducks and the Girl of course has found a way to turn them into humans so the Greggs soon realised that they shouldnt hunt animals and they should appreciate them and before they got transformed the girl alos soon realised what she has done because she didnt actually realise that she has cursed the Greggs. I will give this book 5 stars as it is a really cool book and i would reccomend it to many children who havent read Roald Dahl yet.

When mr gregg changed his name to mr egg and when the girl made the coppers to ducks

I think it's really good because the magic finger can give punishment to anyone who made you angry, and I wish I could have the magic finger.

It’s a bit funny and teaches you not to hurt animals

Surprisingly short as a story - I would have preferred a longer read. My favourite character was William, who made the best of a bad situation alongside his brother. I would recommend this book to anyone who likes birds.

Fascinating, adventurous. Best bit was when the Greg Family turned into birds. Didn't like the ducks taking over the house. Girl was my favourite character because she had a really cool magical finger.

It was a short story. I found it okay.

I liked it because at the end she got mad again and then she put the finger on the Copper family.

I liked it when Mr and Mrs Gregg and William and Philip turned their surname into “Egg” instead of “Gregg”

I think it’s bad to shoot animals. They deserved to be turned into ducks! The girl’s magic finger should not do that to people even if they deserve it, but maybe I wish I had a magic finger!
