Introductory spreads explain that bugs live nearly everywhere on Earth and give tips on how to become a young bug spotter. The book is divided into key groups of bugs, including beetles, moths, butterflies, bees, snails, crickets, grasshoppers, worms and spiders, all illustrated with scenic compositions. Some spreads approach the world of bugs thematically, such as bugs that come out at night, baby creepy-crawlies and life cycles, how bugs hide and show off and how some bugs love to live in your home. The text is chatty, funny and full of amazing facts.

The ants are the best
A beautiful non-fiction book which captures younger reader's interest. With a clear layout and intricate illustrations this book provides lots of easy to read (and digest) information about a whole host of mini beasts. The clear contents page means that younger readers can turn straight to those creepy crawlies which interest them the most.
A stunning book which I would highly recommend to those with an interest in entomology.
The most interesting thing was how grasshoppers rub their two back legs together to make a little song.
I like this book because I love bugs. I rated it 3 because most of the facts I already knew but some of the facts where intesting like dragon flys flash their light as a greeting.
Fascinated by the types of bugs and this book has helped Pranav to identify bugs during bug hunt.
A must have
Good
I like learning about different bugs and finding them in my garden.
This is an interesting book with beautiful illustrations. I have learnt a lot about bugs from this book. I would recommend this book to someone who wants to learn about bugs.
Technically this was a gift for my nephew, but not before I had a sneak peak. Yuval Zommer's illustrated books exemplify the drawn non-fcition genre that we have become so familiar with in recent years. Bright busy illustrations are reminiscent of Richard Scarry but they're brought bang up to date through the rainbow of watercolours that fill each page. Amidst the drawings sit factual paragraphs simply and effectively written. Hours of interest on each page.
This is a book for anyone from 1 upwards!
I love this book. I love the bugs and the pictures
It was really interesting because it told you about spiders, water bugs, night bugs, stick insects and bees. It taught me about the life cycle of a beetle. They are born as eggs, then they hatch into worms, then they grow legs and feelers. I'd recommend this book.
I liked this book because it gives you lots of facts about how each bug is important to the world and why humans need different insects. And also
finding the flies.
I think I would recommend this book to someone else.
It has lots of interesting facts about bugs for example are bugs afraid of the dark. I love it!
This non fiction book is a mine of information. The amazing pictures are a joy to look at and there is something new and exciting in every page.
