I like Fergus, he’s like me, he lives with his Mum and has a dog. His Grandpa is tricky to understand though.
My favourite characters in the book is Daisy. I would recommend this book to someone because it has a good moral lesson. I like this book because it tells me not to doubt even if I got a rusty bike.
Learning expensive things aren’t always the best and always have a good imagination and try your best
Flying Fergus discovered that his bike could send him to another world called Nevermore
i would recommend this to someone else
First in the series of children's fiction co-written by the cycling legend that is Sir Chris Hoy and Joanna Nadin. I loved the use of two separate worlds linked by the bicycle, one real-life, the other fantasy, and that some characters behaved very differently in one world compared to the other (especially Chimp the dog with his Aussie accent and humour/attitude!).
Perfect for this year's Summer Reading Challenge, and a great little series for younger readers tackling shorter chapter books.
It was a nice story. I really like when he started flying into the air and ended up in Nevermore. It was magical and I can imagine what is going on with the story. I like Fergus as he is patient. I would recommend it to my friends. I did not realised there is more Fergus books to read. Would love to read the other Fergus books.
The one star off is because he is talking too much about the new world
It was fun but the story didn’t really go anywhere or have a good ending, we will read the next to see if it improves as a series.
Loved it because it very sporty
I love this book a lot because it’s about a boy called Fergus who had a big imagination and he was a big fan of bikes which i am too! So he dreamt of being a world champion for bicycle riding. He had a bicycle but it was too small so he wanted a better one with 24 gears and other fancy things so tomorrow was his birthday so his Mum and Grandpa got him another one and repainted it and added some adjustments to it but his Grandpa tells him not to pedal backwards…
I liked this book because I like riding bikes too!
Funny
So good that this is my second time reading this!
I like the main character Fergus because he is a kid who dreams lots.
I love this book, the characters are very descriptive, the plot surrounds a magic bike witch was given to him on his birthday by his mum and grandad. Fergus and his dog Chimp find them selves in a place called: '' Nevermore'' which does not accept bikes. Fergus is not intimidated by Prince Waldorf and his sidekick and achieved his goal of becoming a fast champion bike rider .

I didn't enjoy this book so much.
Very nice story . Full of imagination .
The characters are very cool and funny. It’s good that Chris Hoy has written a book that inspires young kids that’s dream is to be a Olympic champion in cycling which Chris Hoy is today.
I enjoyed finding out about nevermore and how Fergus did the repair works on his bike himself and all the special functions it gained in nevermore
I thought this book was amazing because Fergus is just an ordinary boy but his bike is extraordinary and he finds that out by spinning the wheels backwards three times. I liked Fergus best because even though he sometimes doubts himself he always knows he can do it.
A wonderful book
i love it
I like the land of Nevermore. I would recommend it to children that like cycling and fantasy stories.
I liked Fergus, he had a bike that could fly.
On Fergus's Birthday he crept down stairs to see if had got a new bike. He checked all the places where his usual presents would be but there was no new bike because his Mum said it was too dangerous and he could fall off. Fergus crept back upstairs and pretended to be asleep. Later Fergus, Grandpa Herc and Daisy whip up a new bike. It has jet boosters and a cloaking device.
I like Choppy Wallace because on the character bit he is doing a funny face and he's Wesley Wallace's Dad. Wesley Wallace is in a team called the Wallace Winners. Choppy Wallace has a WW on his cap. Fergus's arch-nemesis is Wesley Wallace and Fergus and Grandpa Herc whip up a new bike for Fergus
ALSO there's this dog called Chimp and in the book he has an Australian accent.
I would recommend this book. It was good
I thought the book was about not giving up to reach your goals.
I liked Fergus the best because of his imagination.
I will recommend this book.My favourite part of the story is when Fergus passes the race with his new bike which he made with his grandpa and Daisy.
It is really good. The author is Chris hoy
I liked it because when he was going too fast and the pedals went backwards and he went into a wonderland.
