An alligator who snaps, becomes an alligator who th-naps in this hilarious, heart-warming story of making new friends and discovering who you really are.
Meet Alan, an alligator with a secret. Famed for his big, scary teeth, he sneaks into the jungle every day to scare the jungle animals … “I’m big, scary Alan! Fear my razor-sharp teeth!” But after a long day of scaring, Alan likes nothing better than to run a warm mud bath and take out his false teeth, which nobody knows about! That is, until his teeth go missing. What will Alan do now? Scaring is the only thing he knows how to do! Can he still be scary without them?
A goofy comedy of self-discovery, witty, warm-hearted storytelling and bright graphic art will make this (and Alan!) a firm children’s book favourite.
""Instantly appealing, undeniably hilarious and totally brilliant – there’s really nothing that children won’t love here."" Books for Keeps

It’s really happy in the end. yeah
I really enjoyed reading it.
It's a picture book that I used to read. It's quite funny because at the end a little hamster-like thing borrows Alan's false teeth and he looks quite silly.
This is a funny story.
I like it as it makes me laugh. You think Alan is a scary crocodile, but he is a big softy, with false teeth.
It made me sad, when his friends were laughing at him, but they all made friends again at the end
Me and my brother loved reading this book
I gave it 2 out of 5 because I’ve read it so many times it’s a bit boring for me now and I’m not the biggest fan of it.

Very funny nice story
I like this book because everyone is scared of Alan but actually he has false teeth he should have told the truth and no one would be mad at him so I learnt you should always tell the truth the person I like most is Alan this is a fiction book and I would recommend it to many children
I did not like this book so much, because he had fake teeth and so it felt untrue.
