James and the Giant Peach by Roald Dahl in magnificent full colour.
""Bigger and bigger grew the peach, bigger and bigger and BIGGER.""
James Henry Trotter is about to go on the adventure of a lifetime.
James lives his awful Aunt Sponge and Aunt Spiker, two of the meanest people you can imagine.
Life isn’t much fun at all, until something peculiar happens at the bottom of his garden . . .
A peach at the very top of a tree begins to grow . . . and grow . . . and GROW! Inside are seven very unusual insects – all waiting to take James on a magical journey.

It was interesting because it had ginormous bugs and I wanted to eat the peach which sounded sweet and nice tasty
At first I was scared of the ugly ladies who don't really treat James well. But then when they roll down the hill and the car gets squashed, it made me laugh lots. I like the descriptions of all the insects that James travels with... Even the spider sounds cool. My mum puts on funny voices which makes it even better. We read this book so quickly, I was surprised with the ending. But in a good way.
It was fiction and it was a good book. It’s not the best Road Dahl book I read but I liked it.
This book is written by the same person who wrote Charlie and the chocolate factory. I love how James made all his dreams come true with the magic beans. His mum and dad went to heaven like my grandma went there too. I love how he got away from his horrible aunts.
Enjoy
This story is about a boy who had lost his parents and then went to an adventure with animals. The person I like The most was James, because he was very brave. I would recommend this book to someone else.
it was amazing but the swearing did not come to my liking but still it was entertaining and happy in the end
Because James became famous
I would recommend this book but it’s not the best one by Roald Dahl. My favourite part of the story was the ending when I read what all their new jobs were. I also liked that James had a little hut inside the peach stone.
I only watched the movie.
I found it fun because James with friendships with beetles who lived inside the peach and when they were in there, the peach started rolling and they went rolling with it.
I liked this book because it is really funny
I love this book and like that they are usually singing often
It was classic Ronald Dahl
I like how they pull the peach out of water while sharks were surrounding it and how they used the sea gulls. Very instresting book
6 stars :D
My favourite part is when they were being attacked by the cloud men
It was fun, good, made me happy.
I liked that there were 7 insects and I am 7 years old and I like the number 7. I think other people should read it
This is a fiction book. My favourite character is Mrs Spider because she is very polite and she does things for others even if she doesn't want to.It is a bit factual and I learnt that you can tell a ladybird 's age by how many spots it has.I would recommend it to people from the age of 4 - 11 because it is very funny and every single word is chosen carefully to make the book perfect.
My favourite character is centipede because he sang a song about his favourite foods. I really liked the book and I think other people would like it too.
I like it when they land in New York. My favourite character was Mrs Spider. There house was the peach seed
I love it
Great book!
It was very nice.
I love this book because Roald Dahl is my favourite author so I love all books by Roald Dahl.
It's a fiction book. It is about a boy called James. He lived with his 2 mean aunties. One was really skinny and one was fat. A peach grew on a tree and got bigger and bigger until it rolled down and squashed the aunties.
I would ask my friends to read it because the peach rolled over them and James made new friends like the grasshopper, earthworm, silkworm and a ladybird. Oh and a centerpede.
i like this book because Jameses parents got eaten by a hippopotamus
at london
I didn't like it
Very interesting and adventurous. I enjoyed the mild humour in the book and I can't say my favourite part wasn't the bit where the aunts got flattened by the peach!
