This was a really lovely book about relationships, family, hope and I loved the main character Stanley and how he develops through the story. It made me reflect on life and I had great empathy for this character
Very thrilling book and teaches you important things and overall I really enjoyed it
Stanley Harris isn’t exactly the ‘perfect’ son. He isn’t good at sports like his adoptive family. He isn’t very good looking with his ginger hair that everyone teases him about. And he definitely isn’t ‘cool’. When his birthday comes and a card arrives from his biological mum, saying that she wants to meet him, at first he is excited but then he is angry. He wants to show her all that she has missed out on. How he has grown without her. But he doesn’t think he is good enough to have that impression. So with the help of his cousin Chloe, he devises a plan. I really enjoyed this book and would recommend it to anyone who loves family stories and is aged 8+.
I loved this book because it is about a boy called Stanley Harris but every one calls him Stanley Carrot because of his ginger hair. He is adopted and is determined to find his birth mother. In his 13th birthday his birth mum sends him a card asking to meet him. But Stanley sends another person to meet his mum. In the end Stanley tells the truth and meets his mum. I would definitely recommend this book.
