Gorgeously illustrated and with a classic feel, this is a brilliantly funny story of a rabbit and a bear who discover that things are always better when they’re shared with a friend. Ideal for readers moving on from picture books.
‘A perfect animal double-act.’ (The Times, Book of the Week)
Bear wakes up early from hibernation. If she can’t sleep, then at least she can make a snowman. Rabbit has never made a snowman, but he definitely wants to make one that’s better than Bear’s.
But with an avalanche and a hungry wolf heading his way, Rabbit soon realises that it might be nice to have a friend on his side.
From novelist and playwright Julian Gough, and the winner of the Roald Dahl Funny Prize, Jim Field, this is a tale of friendship, gravity, and just a little bit of poo.
’Rabbit’s Bad Habits is a breath of fresh air in children’s fiction, a laugh-out-loud story of rabbit and wolf and bear, of avalanches and snowmen. The sort of story that makes you want to send your children to bed early, so you can read it to them.’ Neil Gaiman

I loved this book
Loved read in one sitting
I liked the adventure rabbit and bear went on together
I liked it because it was funny. I would reccomend it.
It is interesting and funny because the rabbit taught the bear about gravity.
I like the rabbit he was funny
Julian Gough’s witty text and Jim Field’s lively illustrations make this a laugh-out-loud read, with a warm message at its heart.
I know rabbit was being a bit mean in the beginning stealing bears food but I do think he was nice at the end. Bear was really kind to rabbit all through the book. I thought it was disgusting but funny when rabbit eat his own poo
This book is about making friendships, because Bear was in his usual sleeping time and Rabbit was too. Rabbit stole all of his food - frozen fish, beetle's eggs and honeycomb. Rabbit gave him a dried carrot and Bear saved Rabbit from being eaten by a wolf by making an avalanche. I learned that you can't make friends by being rude, you need to make friends by giving good advice and making people happy.
In this book there was a bear and one day, he went to build a snowman and then he put the snowman on a rabbit hole. Earlier, in the very first bit, Bear's food was taken by a robber, he had a frozen salmon, beetle eggs and a honeycomb. Then one day he met a rabbit and the rabbit gave him the worst floppiest black carrot. I learnt that you shouldn't be mean to your friend because Bear was looking at Rabbit's snowman and then he saw a wolf who wanted to eat the rabbit and then Bear helped the rabbit by making an avalanche.
These books follow the adventures of Rabbit and Bear; they are not exactly friends! I like this book because it is funny especially when Rabbit eats his poo and tries to explain why he does that. I like Rabbit the best because he makes me laugh.
I really like this book very much
I thought this book was a bit too easy for me and I prefer longer books with chapters where something different happens but it was quite funny because rabbit gave bear a floppy carrot.
funny
I like this book because it is extremely funny and lots of fun to read
It’s really good because I like the bear and the rabbit.
I like this one a lot. It was fun hear Rabbit talk about gravity.
There were lots of funny bits and I really enjoyed it.
It was fiction and my favourite character was Bear because she loved Rabbit. Whenever Rabbit was angry with her she didn’t shout at her. It was really funny because Rabbit ate her own poo! I would definitely recommend this book.
Love it!!! Such amazing illustrations and fantastic story. Especially the bit about rabbit eating its poop made my girl giggle. Highly recommend. Can’t wait to read the other books in this series
First there used to be a bear and a rabbit. A white bear interrupted I their way and told them that he was king. At the night, rabbit was training with wolf to scare the bear. In the morning they had a big fight and the big monster had finally gone away. A bad king is a sad thing.
I thought this book was interesting and fun as well because I was happy rabbit and bear happily made friends in they end
I liked the bit when Bear helped Rabbit overcome his bad habits! My favourite character is Bear because he’s much more nicer than Rabbit and he’s helpful and kind!!!
Loved the humour and message of kindness. Excellent book, read it all in two reads
It’s funny because the rabbit eats its own poo.
My favourite bit was where they both became friends and had an evening picnic
Amusing and funny with some lovely twists and turns. I liked the friendship between rabbit and bear.
I loved the Rabbit character because he was funny. My favourite bit was when Bear asked him if he was grumpy and Rabbit replied he wasn't. I would recommend this book to Archie because I think he will enjoy it very much.
