The Reindeer Girl

The wintry tales books are very gentle, cosy stories with a bit of danger and excitement. The main character finds themselves in another time, and sometimes place, and the story immersed us in their world. In this story, we follow Lotta as she herds reindeer in Norway.

I really liked this book. It had some twists and turns, but, it got boring a bit of the time... but it was still good! My fav character was Flower, the mother reindeer to Karl. I would recommend.

I thought it was a nice story and I learnt a lot about reindeers and Sami people. I liked Flower, Karl, Lotta and Erica. I would recommend it to people who love reindeers!

It was so good because it was emotional and it was bit upsetting for me because they cut the deerskin off to make the dress.

I loved the reindeer but my favourite one was Karl, the baby.

I loved how the girl bonded with the animals. I really liked the description of what life was like for her grandma when they were nomads. But the part where Lotta finds somewhere quiet to fall asleep reminded me of what I'd always wished to do when I was smaller. I would recommend it to animal lovers and adventure seekers

If you like reindeers you should definitely read this book. My favourite part is when They are captured by loads of wolves and they have to try and escape

Lotta went to her grandmothers house and she gets to see some reindeers. While she is in bed she has the most weirdest dream she has ever had. My favourite character is Karl the reindeer because he is brave. I would recommend this book to people who like adventures.

My favourite character was Erika as she was always protective of her younger cousin Lotta and she was extremely brave at all times. I enjoyed reading this book very much. This book is clearly a great example of Holly Webb's amazing sense of imagination and writing style. I loved this book because such a fantastic adventure occurs in just a small amount of time. The Reindeer Girl really shows how much a small child can love an animal and how at just a tiny age how much we can protect animals. Thank you Holly Webb for giving me such a tremendous experience while reading this book!!!

I thought it was a really cool story about a little girl who fell asleep and dreamt about her great grandmother who as a girl was a reindeer herder. She dreamt that she was her great grandmother's cousin called Lotta and they tried to save a mother reindeer called Flower and her new born son called Karl from wolves. They also helped the reindeers when Flower got lost and when Karl was barely eating anything at the start. When she woke up she told her great grandmother about the dream. Her great grandmother was very surprised as she had never told the little girl about Flower and Karl. I would definitely recommend it.

I read this all in one go. I couldn’t put it down!

A fiction book but with a fact section about reindeer and the Sami people at the back. Loved the cliff hanger bit when the girls have to cross the river.

I enjoyed this book because it is a lovely story!

This book has got some sad bits in it though but apart from that I loved it! It has lots of cute reindeer in it and lots of baby reindeer to which is so cute! Karl is one of the baby reindeer and Flower is one of the mother reindeer.

It's a fiction book. It's about the friendship between a girl and a reindeer. It's a happy book. It can be confusing sometimes but was generally good.

I liked it because she was more excited to see the reindeers than her family and I liked how holly Webb has written the book
