This was hard to read and very confusing for me
This book was emotional. It is not for the faint hearted. It is clear That the author was trying to make a book That would draw in the reader. that would draw in the reader. It was hard to Choose Favourite character because there was only two however, this book still gave the Odd laugh.
It was ok, but hard to understand in parts.
I thought this was great
I absolutely adored this book mainly because of amazing description of emotion and adrenaline that I could tell was rushing through every character’s blood, but every element of the story was inspirational and incredible!
A really interesting story, a real page turner. I would recommend this book if you like adventure stories
The story was not what it advertised itself to be
It was actually quite short and now overly challenging. But a good story line.
It is my favourite book out of all of them aswell as it includes loads of adventure in it which really entertains you for hours
Really good book 5stars!!!
An incredible book about a boy who can not go in the sun but he needs to find out about his dads past

It was a very good book, I genuinely enjoyed the actions and I liked Jack and Beth's character traits and personalities because they were fearless, and kind and they were always up for a challenge.
. Jack has a terrible skin condition. His dad is an award winning scientist who has mysteriously disappeared. After meeting Beth who saves his life whilst shadow jumping, they try to find out where he is and it becomes apparent that there may be more to Jacks photosensitivity than he thought.
We empathise with Jack as he can’t go out in daylight, his dad has left and he is ridiculed at school.
Beth has lost both her parents in a ar crash and is living with her guardians and all of their children. She has not let go of her parents and carries their ashes wherever she goes.
This is a lovely story which covers friendship, loss, bravery and adversity. It is also an adventure and I think would be suitable for year 5+.
Fast moving with plenty of action. Two children with different difficulties in their lives work together and help each other.
I thought it was good. i found it confusing .I liked Beth. I found inserting how they went to look for Jacks dad. I would recommend it to my family.
I recomend it to people who love adventure books. In this book a boy is allergic to the sun and only his dad can help him but they thik he has gone missing. Find out what happens to him and what he does.
The start was a bit sad but overall a great story of friendship and family.
Shorter story, really enjoyed it and would recommend it to a friend.
A wonderful book to introduce a longer/more challenging read. Could be used in many ways in English to explore the language and PHSE as it explores various relationships and dilemmas. A heart warming story in terms of the different relationships, particularly the two main characters and how they come together and their relationship grows as they face adversity and deal with their issues.
There were also some interesting Science facts.
The descriptive, emotive language drags you in.
I thought this book was ABOUT A SHADOW JUMPING on the roofs of peoples houses but I now know that it is a boy who finds a girl then becomes friends to find the boy's missing father
it interested me because i wanted the mystery to be solved.
I would recommend this book to people who are 10-14year old
I didn’t really get the main point to the book.
I thought this book was very nice to read as I wanted to find out what was happening next.
Jack was my favourite character as he is the main person in the story and he is a boy in a similar age to me.
I would recommend this book as it gripped me and wasn't boring.
I enjoyed this book because there was adventure and mystery it kept you wanting to read on by not revealing the secret until the end. It is about a boy who is alergic to the sun and has to go an on adventure to find his dad who is the only person who can help him. He uncovers mysteries about his friend Beth along on the way, he also finds out that his dad might be part of a science team experimenting on children just like him... When he meets Mr Blackstone everything become clear.
this was a bit easy for me but a good story, and was really eye opening to what different people are going through
I enjoyed reading this book. It is about a boy who has photosensitivity, (which means you are allergic to the sun’s rays.) So to pass the time he does something called “Shadow Jumping” Whilst shadow Jumping he meets a girl called Beth who helps him find his long lost Dad. I would recommend this book to people who like adventure books.
Two misfit children - Jack and Beth- team up to solve the mystery of Jack's missing dad and secretive goings on at the science faculty where he used to work. Both children learn a lot about trust and friendship as the adventure unfolds. I loved this story, for children 11+
A good story of friendship, family, loss and bravery.
Great characters who build a lovely relationship through the story.
A book for those in upper ks2 +
This is an awesome story that is expertly written and cleverly planned! It's all about a boy who has a rare skin disease and he tries to find his long Dad who is the only person who can solve it!
I enjoyed this story about a boy searching for answers - about his dad, about his skin condition and about friendship.
I like this book a lot
