Reviews
Very fast-paced and magical i loved it and will be reading the second and third book in the series.
A good, fiction book for those who believe in dark magic. It draws you in from beginning to end. Moll Pecksniff - the main character - has a recurring nightmare with drums and rattles...the Dreamsnatcher is waiting for her. Read on to find out how Moll, with her friend Alfie and Wildcat Gryff, gains the confidence to defeat them. Will recommend to several children who I work with in school.
This really is an adventure book. You are thrust straight in to the action and required to get with the picture swiftly! Whilst I personally struggled to connect with the main character, Moll, Gryff the wildcat's character has many aspects that are endearing, such as his determination to keep others safe. You have to be energetically ready for a quest if you're opening the pages again. There are some dark undertones, which gives the story some depth. I did find myself just trying to get to the end as I had committed to finishing it, despite not enjoying it quite as much as some other books I have read in this challenge.
I liked the story in this and think teenagers with anxiety could relate to the invasion of the characters dreams. I will be buying and reading the next two books in this series.
I liked it because it is an adventure book. I would recommend it to anyone.
great
A fast-paced, magical, exciting read, with a captivating setting and engaging protagonists. Reminded me in parts of His Dark Materials and Narnia. It has really dark, malevolent undertones, so I would recommend it especially for Year 6 readers. I’m now invested in the adventures of Moll Pecksniff, so am moving on to the next in the series. Completely hooked!
I really enjoyed reading this book, it kept me on my toes and I would recommend this to anyone aged 8-9+
The book was great. I liked the character Gryff the best because he keeps others safe even though it means to risk his life. I would recommend this book to a friend who likes books about magic and adventure.
I love how Moll finds the amulet but she didn't know she would find her Pa.
this is a great book about a girl called moll and it shouldn't be read at bedtime!
I really enjoyed this book and read it in a day!
I never forgot this!
I like this book because it has lots of twists and turns and it is full of surprises. My favourite character is gryff a wild cat that is always by Molls side. I would recommend this book to 9 year olds and above if your reading alone, if your reading with your parent I would recommend this book to 7 year olds and above.
Mystery in every page.Especially Alfie is totally mysterious!
The book is full of adventure, action, fantasy and friendship.
Can't wait to read the next two books of the series.
It was packed full of adventure and it was also factual. It interested me because I really enjoy reading fantasy and adventure books. My favourite character was Gryff, the wildcat, as he was an amazing friend to Moll, the main character, when she needed him.
I would definitely recommend it!
although it was scary i still loved the vibes of it
I can't stop reading this
THIS BOOK IS THRILLING AND GRIPPING.I WOULD NOT RATE IT 5,I WOULD RATE IT 5*
I think you should read this book because it is amazing. It has suspense and plots. But the question is: Will Moll find the first amulet before the Shadowmasks do?
