Frank Cottrell Boyce’s story, Millions – the tale of a not-so-great train robbery – is an absolute treasure!
Two brothers, Damian and Anthony, are unwittingly caught up in a train robbery during Britain’s countdown to joining the Euro. Suddenly finding themselves with a vast amount of cash, the boys have just one glorious, appalling dilemma – how to spend it in the few days before it becomes worthless. Torn between the vices of buying a million pizzas and the virtues of ending world poverty, the boys soon discover that being rich is a mug’s game. For not only is the clock ticking – the bungling bank robbers are closing in too.
Pizzas or World Peace – what would you choose?
This edition of the Carnegie Medal-winning Millions includes bonus material and discussion questions from Frank Cottrell Boyce, and inside and cover illustrations by Steven Lenton.

It was ok. My Mum liked this one more than I did. It was a good idea for a story. I didn't like all the saints.
To many saints!
Fabulous
I would give it a 4/5 because some parts made me figuratively cry, some made me laugh and the rest touched my heart. Personally, if I found myself in Damian and Anthony's situation, I would fulfil the needs of my family, buy some things and give the rest to charity.
Adventure story. Funny
I didn’t quit understand
An excellent read following the journey of a family coping with their loss.
Superb realistic dialoge - even with St. Peter!
Recommend for UKS2
this book j really liked. it's about a boy who finds a bag with over 200 thousand pounds which was going to be changed on euro day and they only had around 17 days to spend it.
It was excellentish.
I rate this book 5 stars because I really enjoyed how he got 1 million pounds and he spent on many many things !! It was a really good book and I liked how at the end he had £20,345 and he used it to make 14 wells in Nigeria for those who do not have clean water
Quite a good story.
Here really enjoyed this book it is interesting and shows what changes can do.It is very well plotted and the story line is excellent.Millions is about two boys one of them finds millions of money they have a short amount of time to spend it. My favourite character was Tricia and the talking bin
Very Very good
I wasn’t sure what to expect with this book, but I honestly really enjoyed it. Heartfelt, funny, tense... you name it, this book has got it.
Very good. I liked the parts where his older brother didn't want to give money to the poor.
Awesome book!
This book is a very good book and I love it very much.
Frank Cottrell Boyce delivers with a superb book in my opinion. This book was so intriguing, even before Anthony and Damian find the bag of money. Damian is my favourite character as he is so innocent and kind. The story gets funny and more enjoyable as the brothers realise they have to spent the money in 17 days. I would recommend this to 8-14 year olds as the message the story gives with please them. Altogether, a great read
this book was ok but it was a little bit repetative
I enjoyed this book.
You should really get to read this book. The main character likes saints and when he finds a bag of money in his garden he is very rich indeed.
I enjoyed Millions because it was funny and exciting. I also liked it because of the Anthony's beliefs on if you tell someone your Mum is dead, they will do anything for you!
Millions is a FANTASTIC book to read . If you love reading adventurous books Millions is a perfect match for you. I would recommend it to people aged 11 to 14 because it has lots of writing and not very many pictures in the book . Overall this book is AMAZING.
If you are into investigation stories and like to read how they were, this is s good book. I like the motto, be excellent, be yourself. I liked the quiz at the end too.
This book is about how a normal boy found hundredths of thousands of pound on the train and he try to decide what do with the money and his ideas are really funny and if I were in his situation, in the end, I wouldn't blame him!
