Elmer and his cousin Wilbur are going to the parade, but the other animals have not yet arrived. The butterfly thinks she is too tiny to take part, the lion is sad, and the rest of the missing animals are stuck in the river. Elmer and Wilbur help them all, and together they reach the start of the parade. Everyone is dressed in rainbow colours except Elmer. On that day only, he goes as elephant-coloured. A lovely book that celebrates diversity.
I like how elmer is grey at the end.
My favourite part is the last page where all the other elephants and animals are colourful, except for Elmer.
Elmer is funny and very colourful. This book is a good read.
I enjoyed this book. I liked all the bright colours.
I would recommend this book.
It wasn't amazing but it was 't bad so I gave it a 4. I loved the fact that it had little questions at the bottom of each page.
