I did this book for my GCSE's it was better than Of mice and men because it was more interesting. I found it more interesting because it's a mystery about how someone died.

This book has a genre of an old fashioned detective story and I thought from the start that I would enjoy this book. As the plot developed you see how all of the family are responsible for the death of a girl called Eva Smith. This book interested me as it got my brain thinking along the way of who was responsible for her suicide. I would encourage others to read this book as it has a moral that everything we do and say to people has an imapct on them, and not always a positive one.
