The initial premise did interest me ... a ghosty/supernatural type story based around the Black Death.. Yeah, that got my attention.
This is a good book. A very simple and quick read (less than 200 pages!)
The characters aren’t very likeable, I didn’t care for her very much. As this is a short story, there’s not time to really get to like the characters.
It’s predictable, i wish a little more background history was included, but enough was provided to tie everything together.
this book is amazing it gives you history knowledge and adventure
this book is very exciting and draws you in, practically forcing you to read on. it is very emotional, and tragic, however, this is because, it is all very sudden. the events are unexpected, with sudden plot twists throughout the book. overall, it is a thrilling adventure book, however it is not for anyone who prefers a happy ending. be prepared for some gore!
This book is now one of my favorites it has a very simple story line but thats only in the beggining. Towards the middle of the book there comes some magic
On a school trip to the plague village of Eyam, Seth is moved by the story of how villagers sacrificed their lives to the dreaded Black Death. Kim and Wes are more interested in what they see at the bottom of the wishing well - money! But when they snatch the coins they also pick up something they hadn't bargained for, and as the hideous consequences of their theft catch up with them all, Seth is forced to face a terrifying truth. Has Eyam's plague-ridden past resurfaced to seek revenge?
