Animal Farm

A re-read from my childhood.

Loved this book, my Russian history knowledge is not great but it didn't matter - the story is gripping in its own right. Loved old Boxer as a character but I found the pigs and their slow transformation fascinating. "All animals are equal but some animals are more equal than others!"

I thought that Animal Farm was a very interesting book. Iwould recommend it to older chilidren.

This is the best book I have ever read, like seriously. I love the way he incorporates politics into a well profounded story. Definitely a recommended read!

It was the second best author I've ever read. I think it is a subtle portrayal of politics. I recommend it to anyone interested in knowing about how the world works.

I love how this book is based on the Russian Revolution and how the animals are based on people in the Russian Revolution.

An overall good book. This fairytale has some interesting historical backstory about some characters. So I recommend it to higher readers as some language is tricky but most is okay.

This book shows animals on a farm controled by the farmer, who go on to otherthrow him in a want for freedom from being controled however soon the pigs take control creating an even worse society to live in for the animals, connoting that there is no escape. I would recommend this book to others as it illustrates the enevitable control we live under in society.

Brilliant concept and backdrop for any history student. the underlying story of the russian revolution allowed us to predict what would happen next but also keep elements of suprise as the people are reflected as animals. I was always interested and keen to read more. Also read for GCSE english but had reread it over the summer holidays. I would recommend it to anybody who is a lover of history.

clever in the way it was written, hidden meanings and great storylines with plotwists. Napoleon was favourite character as you see him develop throughout. would recommend

Classic book with a dark meaning

It may be because I've been researching a lot into Stalin's Russia, but I love this book!

A book for all ages representing a story of the experienced.

The book was kind of 'political'. The animals took over the place to be against humans but at the end they are behaving like them.
It's a good book but need a lot of thinking.

This is a great book because it teaches you about the hardships farm animals endure under cruel farmers and leaders.

A great book about the events in the Russian revolution filled with many hidden meanings that take time and patience to work out.

Things happen quickly, so you never get bored. It's a very strange storyline about a group of animals that want to rule the world because they feel mistreated by people. They end up making battle plans and conquering the humans.

This book is very, very interesting!!!!!! it shows a different way about comminisium in animals point of view.So basically, these animals rebel against the farm they are kept in, and drive all humans out...

but as the story goes on, things start stirring up a bit...
i really stongly recommend this book, and even though the real meaning underneath is quite hard to explain, the animals ways are very easy to understand.hope you will now want to read it!!!
