Alice's Adventures in Wonderland by Lewis Carroll is one of those books that I read in childhood and remember really fondly. Rereading this book for the Teachers Reading Challenge was a very nostalgic experience and reminded me how fun I found this book the first time around.
This book is a children's fiction novel full of all sorts of weird and wonderful. I believe it was first published around 1865 but I feel like the story is still really enjoyable to readers today. The writing is imaginative, fun and the illustrations are amazing. I recommend looking up the John Tenniel illustrations, they really bring the story to life.
My favourite thing about this book has to be the characters. I’ve never read a book with so many quirky characters. A baby that turns into a pig, a Mad Hatter, a Caterpillar smoking a hookah… Carroll’s characters are amazing.
I would recommend this book to both children and adults. If you want an imaginative, fun and quick read then Alice's Adventures in Wonderland is a great choice. I listened to it on Audible as well as having read the physical illustrated book and I would recommend the audiobook version as well as the physical book. I am looking forward to reading the sequel, Alice Through The Looking Glass.
Really funny
AMAZING! I thought Alice's Adventures In Wonderland was GREAT! I am certainly going for a 5 out
of 5.
I like this book but it is barking mad! Even though this could be a problem for some people, I loved it being strange and peculiar as it makes this book stand out from the crowd. I would recommend this book to anyone who loves the film or would like to read something different but be warned. You will be swept down the rabbit hole too!
This book was rather odd. But it was rather funny at times, I liked how the Queen always keeps shouting '' Off with his/her head'' I would recommend this to 8+
This is a inspiring story about a young girl named Alice who had a adventure in her dream while sleeping beside her reading sister. For the love i have for this story i would like to recommend this story to someone else.
I found the book with title 'The usborne illustrated Alice' very interesting. I wondered why Alice didn't find the rabbit when she fell down from the rabbit hole.It was only after some time she found the rabbit passing by in a hurry and he didn't bother to talk to her when Alice asked for help. Also I found that Looking through the glass sequel was much more fascinating than Alice's adventures in Wonderland. I was astonished to read the scene when the red Queen and white Queen were sleeping on Alice's shoulder and suddenly when Alice woke up, she was in a party.I also wonder how the red Queen turned into Diana, the cat.
This is purley a fiction and I like the Red Queen and the white rabbit.
I would recommend this book to everyone.
I definitely enjoyed this book. I liked most characters but my favourite was the Cheshire cat and the white rabbit because I think the Cheshire cat is really interesting and the white rabbit is always talking about how he is late. I would recommend this to anyone who likes classics and fantasy.
i liked this book because it was fictional, know it was fiction because there is not an invisible cat and animals that speak in real life. also by the title, wonder is in the word wonderland so that means that it is fiction. i would recommend this book to a person that likes fairy tales and mythical creatures.my favourite character was the rabbit because he was always in a rush saying i'm late.the best part of the story was the part when she met the mad hatter and had some tea because the mouse said twinkle, twinkle, li
