Lily, Henrietta Lily's magic dog and Lily's sister Georgia have a very magical live but unfortunately magic is banned from England. While Lily, Henrietta and her sister are hiding someone betrays them and they are captured. But there is something magical about the place where they have been captured. one day Lily finds a magical dragon who had been sleeping for 3 hundred years. Could the shining dragon help them escape?
Lily and the shining dragons is a really good book because it has lots of magical creatures for you to imagine. Also it follows straight on from the book before,Lily. It makes you nervous some times but that is great because if it was all really happy then it wouldn't be as exiting.
This book is about a girl called lily and her sister Georgina who both have magical powers.
Since their mother wants to murder the Queen ever since she outlawed magic, their mother implanted dark magic inside Georgie so she could kill the Queen.
Financing this out they runaway trying to find their father who is currently in prison (in theory for not giving up his magic).
So by accident they find themselves in a theatre in London run by 2, teenage boys Sam and Daniel, so they both think there safe.
In this book while doing a magic act in the theatre they discover a long lost Aunt Clara, who has believed magic is dirty. And on a quest to find an old friend they find themselves in Fell Hall a special school to squeeze the magic out of magician children.
Will lily escape and uncover the secrets of Fell Hall? Read the book and find out.

really good at first i did not want it but my mom made me borrow it and the problem was putting it down. JUST GET IT!!!!!!

I think you should read this book because it is exciting and makes you wish you had magic too because of the way Holly makes Lily describe it.

i have not read this book more than 2 times its good but not wow im going to read this book 10 times you could read it 1 or 2 times.
