It was decent, but a little bland, I didn't feel a true taste with it.

I liked this book but it is quite sad as so many people die

I was very sad when the dad sold the horse to the army, and that Albert wasn't aloud to join the army to keep him.

I was happy when Joey was reunited with Albert

I really enjoyed this book, although it is sad in parts being based during the war. I plan to watch the film now I have read the book.

A gripping read

Loved Joey the horse and main character. I liked him because he was the main character telling his story and what it was like to be a horse during World War I. Yes I would recommend it to others. Makes me want to watch the film too.

Would absolutely recommend this read. It is sad as it tells the story of horses during WW1 and what they went through.

The settings jn this book were amazing. You could really feel the atmosphere on the farm and on the battle-field. It's message on the futility of war is very clear. The characters are beautifully described.

Such a good story

I really enjoyed this book for a couple a reasons:

- It was a long book and I LOVE long books
- I liked the fact the book came from the horse's perspective as that is pretty rare in books

it was a bit intersting but it dint inspirer me that much i mostly like it but not that much

I liked Joey the best because he persevered and joined the First World War’s cavalry even though he was inexperienced . I would definitely recommend it to a friend as it is very interesting and intriguing.

Wonderful story but sad in meantime. Im glad that in the end the horse was treat well and finally he find the first owner who always treated him well

Amazing

In the chaos of the first world war, unfortunately just one beautiful horse called Joey was witnessed the battle between our soldiers and Germany and in the end he reunited with Albert, the wonderful young boy who served in our army and the love between them cannot be separated

Loved this book, the story is linked to important topics like war and how Important horses are. I have told my friends to read it.

I thought this book was ok but I would prefer different Michael Morpurgo books.
In fiction my favorite character is Albert who looked after joey the horse
I would recommend this book to horse lovers

I enjoyed it a lot. My favourite character was bill. I would recommend it for readers aged 9 - 100 as some parts are a bit sad.

I liked this book because it showed a story in the horses veiw. It showed kind and greatfulness throughout the story in some way.

Really enjoyed this book it was very powerful and emotional.

It was interesting and set during WW1 time. There was lots of technical vocabulary about horses and the war. It is written by the perspective of a horse and his relationship with a boy. There is lots of key dates and figures to do with the war.
I would recommend this book to others especially people interested with horses role in WW1. It is written by Michel Morpurgo.
