Great Expectations is one of Dickens best masterpieces. His in depth character analysis of Pip gives the audience an insight to real life human emotions and struggles, enabling them to fully connect to Pip on more than a surface level. The first person dialogue makes us feel involved with Pip's life, as if he is almost talking to us. His great expectations present a deeper contextual meaning; that ones social class should never be disrupted or else there will be consequences. Pip, in majority, fees these onequenes and illustrates Dickens view on social class perfectly.

This book is a classic, by Charles dickens. It has a very unexpected ending and makes you want to read on. It is about a boy called pip who lives with his older sister and her husbund joe. Pip goes to live with an old lady who was jilted at the altar, and her adopted daughter Estella. I really enjoyed this book and would recommended it to children age 9 and above.

Really great book, I recommend it to anyone. One of those books you read a numerous amount of times. Really amazing. Never gets boring. Once I pick it up I read it till the end. I could go on for ages about it. Kids will love it, one of my personal favourites. Lie in bed with one of Great Exectations. My idea of a holiday! Lovely characters. I congratulate this book.

I read this book at school and it was very difficult to understand. I recommend this to older readers who have a huge range of vocabulary. This book gives an insight into the hardships of Victorian times.

The thing about great expectations is that it is very hard to get your head around it but once you have it is a great book.
It is a fiction book and I was interested in it because it was very addicting, I had to know what was going to happen next.
I loved the where is is set and I think this book Is genius. Overall it was a great read, however, I would recommend this book to a very confident reader.

This is a wonderful classic, and although it is quite a hard read, is a great book to devour. It tells the tale of orphan Pip's life, and how a strange encounter with a convict, begins a multitude of events in which soon he is no longer at the bottom of society, but becomes a gentleman. Throughout the book, he yearns for the hand of the beautiful but cold hearted Estella, and what happens in the end, well you will have to read to find out.

good book

I read an Usborne version of this book. It is a very upsetting story about a boy called Pip and a girl called Estella. Estella lives with Miss Havisham a lady with no love. Pip lives with Joe a blacksmith. They both love each other but how can they marry!
