Elmer

It’s interesting story how Elmer help to sleep the little elephants. I enjoyed it.

My favourite character is Elmer. I would recommend it.

I like Elmer’s colours and my favourite part of the story was when he said Boo! I like when Elmer is different, not like the other elephants. I think everybody should read the story and see Elmer’s colours.

Elmer is not like the other elephants in the herd, he was not elephant coloured. He was patchwork and kept the elephants happy. One day he was tired of being different and covered himself in berry juice until he looked like any other elephant and rejoined the herd. After a while he noticed that the elephants were more serious than ever and then he shouted 'Boo!' and all the elephants laughed as never before. The elephants decided to celebrate Elmer's Day every year and all elephants must decorate themselves. A great book about celebrating diversity.

It was funny when Elmer rolled around in the berries

I really liked this book because it teaches us that it is ok to be different and you don’t have to be the same as everybody else.

Elmer is a beautiful story about being yourself. He is the funniest elephant of them all. I have a carpet in my class which is Elmer coloured, and will definitely be reading this!

This was a lovely book to read to the children that explained the importance of being different. It opened up a lovely conversation about how everyone is unique and to embrace our differences.

I like that because it was fun and we got to learn different colours and we might not know those colours. It is to be different because everyone is different.

This is a very colourful character and I we read about it in school also.
