This book is about this boy called Tim who is not very sporty. But his dad sends him to this adventure place which makes him do stuff like canoeing and abseiling and sporty games. Even though he is not good at sporty things. Find out how Tim survives in this adventure place by reading the book, Cliffhanger.

It was really good because there was lots of sports games and some of them, like abseiling, were very dramatic.

03 Aug 2017

Because it is filled with lots of adventures that tim does

03 Aug 2017

It is a bit scary when he was abseiling but that was what made it so exciting to read. It's also based on sport and I think many people will enjoy this book.

A great story, by Jacqueline wilson. This book is good for girls and boys, as the main characters are boys. Biscuits, Kelly and Tim also feature in Buried Alive, the sequel to this.

I would say 7+

I think it is a very funny book because he is not very good at the start but then starts to come up with very good ideas.

This is an interesting story I would recommend to children from 9 and above.
It starts off when Tim is watching TV and his dad talks about this adventure holiday for children. He really wanted Tim to go because when he was a child he was very good at sports and he wanted Tim to be to. Tim hated the idea of it. And in the end he ends up going to it (thanks to his dad.)
At first he doesn't like it, he's put with this boy he doesn't like (Giles.) Giles is SUPER sporty and always likes winning. He calls Tim mean stuff. Also when Tim went there he met this nice (FAT) boy called Biscuits (I think he was called that because he eat so much stuff, it didn't really mention his name in the book.) Tim and Biscuits end up being really good friends.
TIM NEARLY DIED!!!! So they were doing this cliff hanging thing (abseiling) and when it was Tim's turn he was specifically told NOT to let go of the rope.
But what does he do??
Well, I ask you, he LETS GO of the rope.
He then is constructed what to do by Jake (he's kind of in charge with another lady called Sally) He ends up alright (than goodness) if he didn't survive it the story would end.
Next they go canoeing, their team (the tigers) were almost winning when this girl called Kelly dropped her troll doll thing and stops them from going on. So Tim (to the rescue) gets her out (and ends up SOAKING!!)
They have one FINAL task before they leave the adventures holiday the next day. So they have to collect water and put it into the buckets, but they have to run a lot. The team with the most water wins (points.) Everyone in the team manages to do it but then there;s a finishing task witch is the real deal and it is tough and then once again (Tim to the rescue) finds a solution and everybody is proud of Tim.
Loved this book. :)
